Coronavirus Precautions/News/Updates for Hua Hin/Prachuap

I've already mentioned this on the main news page. Basically I think anybody travelling from the affected areas need to scan the QR Code (takes you to PKK's COVID-19 screening system) and be prepared to quarantine for 14 days.

Hopefully the clever people can confirm.

I see Polo Club, Hua Hin has closed temporarily in order to have a deep clean. Nothing to do with recent cases I hasten to add.

Here's one for the clever guys. I think it is closing PKK bars for 5 days (from tomorrow), but please don't panic yet - one of the clever guys will have to confirm.

1. ปิดสถานบริการสถานคล้ายสถานบริการเป็นเวลา 5 วัน ตั้งแต่วันที่ 8 ถึง 12 เมษายน 2564 ยกเว้นมายาซึ่งปิดไปก่อนหน้านี้แล้ว 14 วัน หรือหากพบว่าที่ใดมีการแพร่ระบาดของเชื้อก็จะสั่งปิดเป็นคราวคราวละ 14 วันเพิ่มเติม

3.สถานบริการ สถานคล้ายสถานบริการซึ่งมี ความแออัดของพื้นที่ ไม่เป็นไปตามมาตรฐาน ทางสาธารณสุขต้องมีการปรับปรุงอย่างเคร่งครัด เช่น ในผับ ระหว่างโต๊ะต้องห่างกัน 2 เมตร 1 โต๊ะให้มีผู้ใช้บริการ 2 คน หากสถานที่ใดไม่ปฏิบัติตาม ให้อำเภอเสนอคกก.ควบคุมโรค เพื่อให้ปิดปรับปรุง หรือไม่อนุญาตให้เปิดบริการ
ทั้งนี้ขอให้รอประกาศคำสั่งจากจังหวัดประจวบคีรีขันธ์อีกครั้งหนึ่ง

Its a typical knee-jerk Thai authority reaction - close the place after the event has happened.

If the numbers keep going up, expect another round of bar closures and alcohol prohibition for the province.

Somebody tells me wonderland on 94 closed for 5 days?????

But Soi 80 bars open....

Anyone can verify?

I've just walked through both Wonderland and Soi 80, both open now, but a bar owner said closing tomorrow.

1. Entertainment spots (bars, pounds, etc) and similar: closed for 5 days, except Maya closed for 14 days.
2. Events for 100 or more people must get permission.
3. Entertainment spots must manage their space, tables, service, etc according to the guidelines (table spacing 2m, masks, logging, etc) or will be closed if found remiss.

Provincial order will follow (and all will be explained ).

Whilst playing a pool league game tonight, many bar owners were cancelling further pool matches saying the bars have to close from tomorrow. We have made 3 calls to police (senior officers, not plebs) and they insist that bars can remain open.
I've seen 3 translations of this document, each one being different. I guess it'll all come clear tomorrow.

I'm sure everything will be made clear today. Just looking at Hhinner's translation.
Item 1 states that 'Entertainment spots' , bars, pounds, etc, will close for 5 days.
Then in Item 3 it states that 'Entertainment spots' must manage their space, tables, distancing, masks etc. or they will be closed.
Not very clear is it? But par for the course and the police last night insisted that bars are not affected. You would think that they would know. But TIT!

I think 1 is immediate, and 3 is going forward. 3 will be the end of many small bars. 2 metres between tables with no more than 2 people at a table. 2 metres is a huge distance for many bars. Many of the bars I saw open on Binthabat a couple of weeks ago and many bars in Soi 80 just could not sustain that sort of restriction. I guess many restaurants will be affected similarly.
