Cool (no pun intended). Jim Hall did much the same thing with his Chaparral 2J in 1970. A brilliant engineer, he pioneered most of the aerodynamic downforce devices for race cars. If his cars were as reliable as they were innovative, his name would be more widely known. Certainly didn't help that he was racing in the Can-Am series which was dominated by Bruce McClaren. But a quote from Denny Hulme, a McClaren driver, puts it in perspective: “When we arrived for a race the first place we would always look would be the Chaparral section of the paddock, because they were always likely to have something new to give us a hard time.”

I was recently given this as a memento and it is unusual.

Why?
Where does it rightfully belong?

Should it be in the police station? (because it might be a counterfeit as the Aston Martin logo is green).

No. The badge is totally legitimate.

Previous badges were different colours including red - is this one a pin brooch for wearing?

No. This is a brand new, unused, bonnet "Wing" Badge

Seeing as it wouldn't be much of a challenge if it belonged on the bonnet of an Aston Martin, is it off the front of one of those re-badged Toyota IQ's that they gave away with one of their cars?

It is actually does belong on the bonnet of an Aston Martin but the car is quite rare and the badge even more so.

Does the car belong or has belonged to a celebrity or a film set?

Its not from a singular car but from a limited production run.

Is it from one of those limited productions made for the Chinese market? I read that the original badges fitted to them are gold plated.

I'm sure that the production run was not specifically for China but the price tag for this model would indicate that some will probably make it there.

I can't say I really know :o . The car is certainly not the DBS Volante Dragon 88 but it does have a direct family link to the DBS and was launched in the same year
