Go ahead and give it a go if you want. Start a new thread for it (Superbru 2022 World Cup).

Just follow the steps and find the tab to start your own pool. It may ask you to invite players already playing in another pool (perhaps Premier League) and you can do that, but also post the invitation/pool name/pool code on here so those who don't get an automatic invitation can join. All the details and choices are under the "Invite" tab on their site.

Let me know if any problems.

Not long to go now, not sure if anyone has seen this:

FIFA World Cup will be free to watch in Thailand, says SAT ( Oct. 8 )
AT governor Kongsak Yodmanee said on Friday that so far no company had contacted the organiser or FIFA to purchase the broadcast rights for the tournament, scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.

“Thais must be able to watch the World Club live for free under the ‘must-have’ rule. If no private operators are interested in purchasing the licence, the SAT will buy it,” he said. “Money to buy the rights could come from the government or the National Sports Development Fund. However, we hope that a private company will strike a broadcast deal with the organiser soon.”

The must-have rule, imposed by National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission since 2012, mandates that several key sporting events, including the FIFA World Cup finals, must be made available on free television.

Anyone found one of those download/printable schedules with the times of the games in Thailand? All I found was this PDF but it isnt very legible and won't print.

Not really, was looking for one with all the times in Thailand already calculated (and channels the games are on if poss). But I reckon there will be an app for that.

I think you're too early for what you want. Reading the 'free TV' article, they're still a long way from knowing TV schedules yet.

Thailand is 4 hours ahead of Qatar so you at least have a guide as to the kick-off times - hopefully the channels the games are on will be disclosed in good time - I’m hoping my VPN will work for the England games (BBC and ITV) and any others that might be interesting.

Likewise, will be using the VPN and UK channels wherever possible, the inane adverts every 10 minutes on Thai TV drives you insane.

The Thai TV 'free' solution will be much better. If you don't have Thai TV, there are legal free options available with the likes of AIS and True, which should give you the matches.

Naturally, the junta is holding out for a private company (aka CP/True) to make a bid so they don't have to themselves ...

The Cabinet was informed that so far, no private company has made a bid to air the #WorldCup2022 in #Thailand which is kicking off on November 20.

ASEAN countries that already bought the license to air it include Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

However, the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) reassured Thai football fans that if no bid was made by a private company, the government will buy the license and air it for free.

"This is a must-have event," said Kongsak Yodmanee, SAT's Governor.

If you think back to the last World Cup when the shoe guy came in at the last minute, not only did True not jump in, they actually got AIS banned from showing matches for a few days. Bonkers!

CP/True or anyone else won't make any money except from advertising, as it's been government designated as "Free to Air" so they can't charge any premium to existing viewing packages, or make it a pay per view item.
