Just a note, Sateeb. Take a photocopy of the detail page and 'visa' page of your passport. Plus there's an application form to fill out. If you don't have one then it may take another 5 mins to complete on site.

I went to the main HH hospital and they didn’t want copies of anything just the originals and no form to fill out- but they were more interested in my pink ID card than my passport

I think it's like many things in Thailand. It depends upon who you speak to on the day.

When I registered, joelle came to tell me that they were very interested in her pink ID Card. So I got mine out, and presented it with my other documents. The girl, who was very efficient, completely ignored my pink ID Card.

As with most bureaucracy in Thailand, take as much evidence as you can. If they don't look, take it home again and take it to your next face to face event.

That was an opinion 4 months ago. Not sure if it's true today.

I went to Bluport yesterday. Managed to get number 6 and was seen very quickly and out in no time.

However, I didn't get my appointment time. This was just for registering at HHH. I was told to come back today at 11am but I can't make it until Wednesday. The lady said all I needed to do was present my queue number from yesterday. I don't know why there's this extra visit. Maybe because it was Sunday and they were short staffed?

Hi,

I'm thinking of flying back to the UK this weekend to get an AZ jab in June. And then returning to Hua Hin a week or so after arriving in Phuket (after the July 1st opening)
This plan seems so cunningly simple I'm worried I must have missed something obvious! Has anyone considered anything similar? Is my information about returning via Phuket still up to date?

If you register direct at HH Hospital, it’s all done in one visit and they give you an appointment there and then.

Mandatory quarantine is in place for all people returning to the UK from countries on the amber and red lists. People arriving from amber list countries are required to quarantine for 10 days at home on their return. This is a legal requirement. All people returning from overseas travel must have a PCR test
From 1 July, 2021, vaccinated foreign travellers will be allowed to visit Phuket without quarantine.

However, all foreign tourists who want to enter Phuket during the above mentioned two stages will be required to present proof that they have received two doses of the vaccine that is recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

Other essential documents include a medical certificate with a laboratory result indicating that COVID-19 is not detected, using RT-PCR method, issued no longer than 72 hours before departure; a Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Embassy; valid visa or re-entry permit; health insurance policy.

Upon arrival at the Phuket International Airport, tourists will be required to undergo a COVID-19 screening, including PCR tests, and download the specified track and trace application to ensure that they only visit the designated areas.
Doesn't appear that simple. Firstly vaccinations must include both doses. Considering the delay between doses, you'd be in the UK for quite a while.

Too late for you but as I posted earlier, HHH3 all done in 5 minutes. Incidentally, I've just noticed they gave me back all the paperwork I took in (passport copies and application). That may be because they were able to look me up on their computer.

Not easy thses are the requirements
Before travel to England
Before you travel to England you must:

take a COVID-19 test
book and pay for day 2 and day 8 COVID-19 travel tests – to be taken after arrival in England
complete a passenger locator form
On arrival in England
On arrival in England you must:

quarantine at home or in the place you are staying for 10 days
take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 and on or after day 8

Plus as stated in my earlier post, arriving in Phuket requires a lot more restrictions not least of all the requirement for both doses of the vaccine + tests and limited to designated areas.

Judging by the queues at both MV and Bluport, it's to get as many registered as possible, at the same time keeping the waiting times to be seen as reasonable as possible. I don't know where they add the data to their computer systems, whether back at the hosp or in a Mall, but if they did all of that and made appts at the the same time as registering, it would just clog up the Malls and make waiting times very unreasonable.

On the day I registered, they were entering the data as they went. Probably the reason for my 90 minute wait. However, I expected a bit of a wait, and it was painless.
