The Strypes
Irish lads (aged 15 - 17) covering American R&B from the 50s and songs written in the 60s by Brit bands influenced by the same R&B.

I am absolutely crazy for GusGus recently, these guys from Scandinavia totally rock. The vocalists are fantastic, it is a pleasure to see them performing live, you guys should totally check them out! My favorite songs by them are Arabian Horse, Over and Magnified Love.

The nice thing about listening to Apocalyptica is because they are an instrumental group they use singers from other bands when they need vocals, and thats a great way of springboarding into new music. Heres some

Three Days Grace
Lacuna Coil

As a long time fan of 10,000 MANIACS and FAIRPORT CONVENTION coming across this little gem was a perfect storm moment - Natalie Merchant does a great version of the song made famous by Fairport & Sandy Denny - Crazy Man Michael.
Shortly followed by a mini storm of torrenting now Im somewhere with decent drop speeds and torrent access.

I was watching the film "Dead Man's Shoes" yesterday and the music just got me.
So, I've narrowed it down to "Smog".
Crikey, never thought I'd appreciate "country".
I'm going for a walk through all the rain and will howl.

Listening on Spotify on the 6 CD version box "Fisherman's Box" from The Waterboys, while I am waiting for the postal service to deliver to me my 7CD+1LP version of the box that I ordered from Amazon.co.uk.
With 121 songs in this version of the box, the entertainment for the weekend is pretty much fixed!

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.
