Haven't they been using some sort of tracking device as an alternative? I've definitely read about it, but couldn't swear it was Thailand.

What if as me you have actually only a phone as above  . Not that brand but S...ung and I don't need or want anything else, I want a phone only for calling when needed and so other people can if necessary contact me, not a computer in my pocket. Peace and privacy comes first to my last breath. Besides the computer stand secure and safe home and I get done everything I need to to do with that...Yes I know old fashion and all that but that's me. :)

I agree best advice I have seen today.
Until you run out of credit. No free apps. Every call costs!

Depends on the plan you have and how many calls you make a month.

I have the same setup and most of the time I don't make any calls in a month.

This is really going to work, not.

From what I read in my (very bad) translations is New Year Countdown on Hua Hin Beach will go ahead as normal, but they are asking people to avoid the beach. They say the fireworks will be visible throughout Hua Hin, or they give a link where you can watch online.

Personally, I'm opting out of everything until at least the middle of January, but be sure, thousands will just ignore the request.

I drove past a bar at about 10am this morning. We noticed a couple of regulars enjoying their breakfast served in a tall green bottle, eloquently seated in a condom.

With many bars having obtained food licences as we came out of lockdown last time, I guess it will be business as usual for most.

I believe it was told they could be open until 18:00 today. But maybe I am wrong?

Manee bar is still open. Spoke with Manee today. She has spoken with the police. They have told her that the only bars that have to close are bars with bar girls.
If you are just a normal bar then you are allowed to open. You can't have parties but otherwise everything's normal.
The police told her a lot of the bars have not checked the rules.

Bars..... my son has the granddaddy of all hangovers this morning after going on a pub crawl last night. Bars are not closed.

4 infected people sat on an aircraft with hundreds of others for 12 hours but don't infect anybody? Is it really the very infectious strain, or just looking for somebody else to blame?

Which bars and where? As far as I could tell no bars were open in Soi 94 at least. BKP open but no live music.

Re. the bars, think restrictions might have come into effect at 6.00 this morning. Had planned on going to the vineyard for a little celebration today, but got a message at 11.00 last night that wine was only available from today for takeaway.

What about a PM? I'm very curious since nothing were open in Soi 94. And we are all well aware that Soi 94 is now a major area for bars, so kind of strange so many other bars around town can be open and none in Soi 94.

Maybe some other members can enlighten me where I can find open bars? I would love a beer and a game of pool, under strict social distancing of course. Not interested in girls.
