I posted those two Mall Group vids to my daughter in the UK. She says they're identical to 2 vids from her company, GlaxoSmithKlyne. Right down to the scenes and wording. Must be a 'storyboard' that many companies are using. She said "Get rid of the Thai script and change the players to Europeans and they're not just similar, they're exact." I wonder if the producers are making a killing!

This made me smile. Hands free sanitiser. I wonder if we'll see this in Bluport or anywhere else?

There's one in MV, just outside of the market, where you order restaurant food.

Isn't there one just by the trolley pickup at Makro HH?

Yes, I've used them in several places around Hua Hin including Market Village, Thai Watsadu and Hua Hin Hospital.

I've looked at caller's video, and it all seems very Big Brother to me. Is registration to this new app mandatory to gain entrance (if just one person doesn't register, it's benefits are devalued)? If not mandatory, I certainly am not going to be tracked everywhere I go.

I found this very simple explanation:

I am very uneasy about it.

It is mandatory and if you don't have a "smart phone," you have to fill out a form. Either way the govt. knows where you are, where you've been what time you got there. There's a new app coming soon that will help you learn Chinese.

COVID-19 APP WILL TRACK BUSINESS CUSTOMERS, GOV’T SAYS
Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Thursday said that a tracing application, named Thai Chana (Thai Victory), has been developed and will be introduced to all business operators that will resume business on May 17 in the Second Phase easing of the lockdown restrictions.

CCSA spokesman Dr. Taweesin Visanuyothin said that businesses can register online for the application and will receive a QR code, which can be posted in front of their premises for customers to scan when entering and exiting.

With the online tracing system, customers can be tracked and text messages will be sent to them in case they need to be tested, if a customer visiting the same venue has tested positive for COVID-19.

All business operators, even street food vendors, can register for the system.

Also, the Thai Chana application is also able to inform customers if the shops they plan to visit, are crowded or not.

Taweesin said the Thai Chana app would serve 70 to 80 percent of the people who use mobile phones.

Not a chance in hell will I be installing that. I deleted the airport tracking app the second I got through immigration. This is the same 'government' that locks people up for posting stuff they dont like on social media.

In that chart why is
Step One: open the application
Step Two: open the application

Are they expecting it to crash a lot?

So, do you have to scan at every store within a shopping centre (e.g. MV), or only on entering and exiting the shopping centre? If each store, then while my wife is shopping, maybe I'll amuse myself by going through the mall scanning at every single shop? Are toilets available for scanning too?

In lieu of the app. you can fill out a form. I think it's just a phone number. Any number should suffice.

Store owners have been notified to wait a day or two until after the air conditioning has been left on and the mold has been blown out.

Those who are over 60 and/or who don't have smart phones are advised to stay home and let your children do the shopping. I don't what they suggest for those who don't have children available.

If you see people congregating and sitting too close to each other and/or not wearing masks, you are encouraged to report them and an officer will come and take a look.

Sounds like a plot for a John LeCarre novel: Nation of Spies.
