Whilst he has limited experience of PL management, I actually see this as a plus point. I want fresh ideas, not boring old farts who think they know it all and are well past their sell by date

He's got a helluva job on his hands keeping us up. I honestly think that his Championship experience helped him get the job. He'll probably need it!

I do wonder if the whole Pereira thing was stage managed bullshit by the theatrical Kenwright, even down to the graffiti. "OK Everton fans, we won't appoint who the Board want , we'll give you your man this time!" Then if it goes wrong "Well, we did give you the man YOU wanted!". In reality he wasn't the man wanted but the most acceptable of a very limited shortlist

I think that is too much of a generalisation. Example, Lamps famously fell out with Rudiger. Silva was aghast at his leaving. Rudiger does get on famously well with Tuchel, who hardly had a playing career at all, but is obviously a very talented manager.

Has Lamps accepted the job? Maybe they can get Barkley back on loan. I like Barkley, not sure why it hasn't worked out for him.

Probably not looking good. But you're innocent until you're proven guilty.

In today's society, and perhaps beforehand, allegations such as this are very damming on the individual and almost impossible to recover from.

In some ways I seriously hope, for his sake, he's guilty!

Because if he's innocent he must be going through pure living hell. And even if proven innocent years down the line, would he ever truly get his life back?

I wish he did have to 'perform'

As I understand it all he has to do is play. He could that and be rubbish. It's easily done at Everton I assure you!

Think you're right in that I hear EFC's basic commitment is 10M(which doesn't need paying until next season) and only goes to 40 if we win silverware etc

So it's 10M then!
