U shoulda been down to 10 after 4 mins!!!! We hit the woodwork 3 times and it was late late before you made the match safe and only when our centre back was off the pitch injured.
Oh and we got a keeper who made some saves!!!!! What is he supposed to do????????
Well done to Chelsea for the victory but 0-3 dosen't really give a fair reflection for the game.

Yes, Pardew said something about that decision changed the game, in that against 10-men you might have won? Pity you had to play eleven! And actually, you hit the woodwork twice, the other one was by Drogba, and we hit it once and had a penalty saved and as you point out, your keeper was outstanding, aided by some poor finishing by Sturridge. I agree Pardew out-did us in the 2nd half, as I have already said and I think Ba is shaping up very nicely as Drogba's replacement thank-you very much! :thumb:

No disrespect intended - despite the fact Newcastle isn't my favourite team due to personal experiences with Toon fans when supporting Chelsea at St. James Park.

take ur points but one question. Why Would Ba go to Chelsea???? Surely he'd go to one of the top teams!!!
Anyway,if we hold out long enough,i'm sure some deluded scouse team will come in with a 35 million bid for him. then Ashley and Lambais can go but themselves another hellicopter or two.

Early reports say that Steven Taylor will be out for the rest of the season!!!! Hope not but it dosen't look good.If he played for one of the big boys,he'd be an england regular!!!! He's really underrated.
Anyway,we got a point after playing the serious big 3 and we're sixth but the pool have yet to play. Not bad for a promoted team and with our next few fixtures???? well lets see. I'm quite pleased with our performances of the last 3 games.(ok we lost 2 of them) But we didn't lose by 6!! and a dodgy ref didn't help us today but hey ho! We create chances and defend well(without Taylor i hope we can still do this) Transfer window looming, lets see who we can entice???? There is talk of a striker but Ashley might go and buy a yacht instead!!!! And lets see if we keep our squad also!!!!!
Alll said,at the top of the season i was worried for survival so things are looking fairly rosie.
An interesting second half of the season, thats for sure!!!!!!

LOL

Andy Townsend has described Fernando Torres' current woes at Chelsea as "the nightmare that doesn't seem to end", suggesting the former Liverpool star looks a shadow of the player that prompted the Blues to smash the British transfer record in January.

The Chelsea forward has cut an increasingly frustrated figure this season and his situation has clearly been exasperated by suspension and the perennial rotation with Didier Drogba. Such is Torres' current predicament Townsend believes the ex-Liverpool talisman could join a growing list of previously established centre-forwards to suffer at "the striker's graveyard" of Stamford Bridge.
My mind wandered and never came back :(

Very insightful from Townsend, I don't know what I'd do without our Football "experts".

Ha! I agree. The words Townsend and expert don't belong in the same sentence. Still puzzled why ITV signed him up in the 1st place, yet alone retain him.

I think Torres just needs a run in the team, but can we afford that risk?

Curious to know why Anelka and Alex have been training with the reserves just because they have requested transfers? I know Anelka refused a new contract, but so has Drogba (1-year extension), but Alex? Leaves us short at the back as Luiz is definitely a risk at the moment.

He looked a breath of fresh air last season but looks a liability now....... OR its Mr Chelsea and the chemistry isn't right. I don't think that high line suits Terry but it's AVBs way forward. Correctly IMO.

A great way to celebrate 125 years of history. So many legends around at the Emirates, a victory and a result that will give some of us great memories from the early 90's.

Stoke 2 Spurs 1

Well, slap my bum with a wet flounder and call me Arsene, but what a game that was.
I thought Stoke played really well and both teams showed great commitment, but the referee was awful and Spurs really shouldn't have lost.
2 clear penalties not given, one Stoke player not sent off, corners not given, fouls, etc.
Kaboul's sending off was a disgrace.
I have no problem with long throws, but not when they take 2 minutes to set up FFS.
So far, we've won a couple we might have lost or drawn last year, so I'm prepared to take this one on the chin.
Adebayor had an off night (I like him, but he's offside too much and misses a lot of good chances - is he a fair weather forward?), but all things considered, if Spurs carry on playing like that week in week out, they'll win far more than they lose and finish in the top 4.
This is the way
