Well, Kenny D certainly has nuts, I'll give him that. Liverpool's team is not exactly at it's zenith and Kenny D has a good reputation to lose, as his previous tenure was good and brought some silverware.

Hopefully the Liverpool fans will understand that he's not Harry Potter waving a wand around.

No quick fixes here in the real world with this one, a respectable top half finish would be an achievement and everyone in the Kop should be happy with that.

Probably the right guy for the situation though, next season will see much more change, I reckon. I read the report in the BBC about him and what he's saying, seems to be approaching it in the right way.

We'll see.

NB to Baa Baa, this is not sarcastic post, but a genuine enquiry: Why did he leave in the first place?

I suspect you know he resigned in 1991 on health grounds, widely reported as stress. But since then he's had many years out of the game before returning to Liverpool in 2009 in an academy/ambassador role - perhaps he could try Hua Hin next? :)

Benitez left before the start of the season
I did ask earlier wether I had remembered correctly that Benitez had them at bottom. Obviously I got it wrong but I can't be arsed to look up facts on the internet... to be honest I have a lot better things to do with my time than to look up the history of Liverpool on the net.. or anything else for that matter.

Sorry that I dont' spend as much time as you Baa Baa to know the ins and outs of everything football. I love football just as much as the next, was a season ticket holder on numerous occasions and watch as many games as time allows me too. I just don't LOVE it obviously. Do you [Edited by Mod]over a liverpool poster at night?

No mate, just making you look a fool.

Probably best you don't comment on something you know nothing about.

Is correct, Hillsborough did him in. I wouldn't like to think how many funerals he attended and he took it upon himself to try and hold a community together, visiting all the hospitals and churches.

He'd have to openly call Anfield a dump and piss on the Shankly gates before he lost his rep.

The blokes a legend.

Really don't think that this squad is like people make out though, it's full of internationals and scattered with world class players.

Do red card suspensions in the FA carry over to the next match in the Premier League? Pete

Yes, one of the reasons I'm always happy that no-hopers like the Green Army get knocked out at the earliest stages.

Kenny Dalglish has said he will do his utmost to bring success back to Liverpool and has denied he is out of touch with club management saying he intends to knock Nottingham Forest off their perch sooner rather than later ! 8)
