On another note: I was in Villa late this afternoon. The guy pointed his temp gun at me then showed me with a smile "Very Good". It was 35.5. Hypothermia requires emergency treatment. Wrap in blankets and keep the patient warm until the ambulance arrives!!!
My family just laughed!!!
These guns are a joke.

I think actually, it is the users who are the joke. I made the point very early on, what training do users get? Like everything in Thailand, Thais are born with the ability. They can all ride motorcycles, drive cars, etc., etc., and from a very young age as well. No training required. So how hard is it to point a piece of plastic, and squeeze a trigger?
My son has one to check students (we also use it in the home). Easy to use, instructions are simple - acceptable readings every time. However, how many read the simple instructions, when they are born with the ability?

Does anybody know what testing is available at the non-hospital labs. I trust them more than the hospitals and prefer their fees.

I've been seeing social media requests for the police to enforce the wearing of masks at Khao Tao. As I take my daily exercise around the lake, I counted as I walked today:
- I counted 40 people as I walked (not including me) - 39 Thai and 1 Farang.
- Just 7 people wore masks.
- 33 people (including the Farang) were not wearing masks.
OK, it's worrying so many people were ignoring the law, but TIT and Thais thrive on ignoring the rules. In reality, I doubt I got within 10' of anybody, and most people were at least 6' apart.

So masks or no masks, they were keeping safe. Social distancing is far far more effective than masks. Masks come into their own when there's little or no social distancing.

As for the temp. readings: If you've been in the heat, your skin temp will be higher, if in an air conditioned room, lower. They only read skin temp. Next to useless.

You may have seen my earlier post. I was tested at 35.5 yesterday going into Villa. The guy showed me with a big smile saying "Very Good!"
I'm suffering from hypothermia and need emergency treatment.........
As BB says, it's not the guns but the operators.

Anybody know what the spray is that is being used to "disinfect" surfaces? What about the trucks seen spraying the streets in some places? Need to be careful with some of this stuff if unknown just what it consists of.

We were down at the main HH beach yesterday looking for crabs with my boy in the big rocks.
I was amazed at how clean the shallow water was. We haven’t been to that stretch of the beach for years as it was horrendously dirty along the beach and water with horse dump and other gunk.
Yesterday we felt safe for a change paddling in the water.

Yes, one advantage of this lockdown is how clean the beach and water seems to be. So nice to see it not covered in horse poo.

Went to our local coffee shop to get some bread. They seem to have started to serve eat in customers whereas over the last few weeks they have only been doing takeaway. Also the sign saying that they only do takeaway had been taken down. Has the ban been relaxed?

I'm pretty sure nothing has been announced to date. Cha-cha-cha delayed a meeting about relaxing restrictions until next week. I doubt we'll see any announcement before then.
I think they're probably just 'jumping the gun'.
