And I'm guessing that the Thai government's reaction is the main cause of the sinking baht over the last couple of days. It's being hammered by all the major currencies as well as it's neighbours , Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, and pretty much everyone else. It's even sank against the Ruble, Myanmar, Afghanistan, North and South Korea. I don't think there's a currency anywhere where the baht has held it's own.

I'm happy with that of course.

What are the alcohol rules now please? I've read 2 versions in local publications.

Publication 1 - sale of alcohol in restaurants with SHA+ to cease from today until 16th Jan.

Publication 2 - CCSA did not cease sale of alcohol in SHA+ restaurants from today until 16th Jan.

This is journalism at its worst, but I guess they are not interested in news, just a big headline that will help them sell advertising if they're lucky enough to get the headline correct.

As far as I understand, the blue provinces and blue areas within provinces, as is HH, hasn't changed. Certainly my local has the relevant documentation. The police visit every night without a problem. He now has a 'security man' who checks the temp and insists you use sanitizer on entry. He's a big fella and you wouldn't argue with him.
