Well at least they've done an 'about face' on that one. Not done by choice, I'm sure, but due to pressure and the realisation how it would appear on the world stage.

As Sateeb said earlier, it all leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Their latest u-turn (which still hasn't been confirmed as no farang has been able to even register yet) wasn't a voluntary one.

Although I agree with you entirely, the way we’re made to jump through hoops every 90 days and every year at visa renewal stage, it’s pretty obvious that we’re suffered rather than welcomed, so if they make the vaccine available to us before the end of the queue, I still consider that a bonus.

i agree with you there. If I could, I'd be on the next plane out of here and never return. I've made many mistakes in my life and coming here is worst one. I'm not saying it's the fault of Thais, it's that I'm not suited to the climate or the culture.

Meanwhile, the other Chinese-made Sinovac Covid-19 vaccine is now approved in Thailand for adults over 60 years old. Doctors had initially advised that the vaccine to only be for adults 18 to 60 due to limited research on the elderly.

The glass half full part of me thinks that in a couple of months we will have the choice of Private hospitals and vaccine choice. Let's see. Still waiting for any news from my Health Insurance provider(Aetna).

A question;
Can a white devil get tested at Hua Hin hospital or Bangkok hospital, receive the results within 24 hrs. and obtain a certificate, in English, that says they are not infected? If not, where can they get tested?

Whilst checking online if it was safe for me to have my annual flu shot I decided to Google "does the flu shot help against Covid 19". Now I knew the answer would be a resounding NO but there were some interesting results and it may benefit some of us on here

I have not spent a winter in Europe since 1996 and never had a flu shot before that. I was not aware that the flu was a problem in Thailand but have only been here 15 years?

When I was teaching up in Khon Kaen many moons ago all of the faculty were encouraged to have the shot.

I guess most over 60's have some ailment. It's called 'getting old'.

Starting next month, AstraZeneca will be the main vaccine in the national inoculation campaign.

May be worth waiting a little while.
