Re: History Challenge & Journal
I do not think Sweden has a border with Russia, I think it could be Finland.
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

Re: History Challenge & Journal
Well that's obviously Africa. I recently read a series of novels set in the time of the Napoleonic Wars, one of which was set in the Med, and specifically in Turkey, the Middle East and the North African states. I seem to remember there was a passing reference to the Swedish navy being involved militarily (not against Britain). I don't remember anything about the USA. I can't be more specific than that.
This is the way

On this day in history: -
400th Anniversary of The Mayflower
Mayflower Anniversary: The Replica Ship That Never Set Sail
"The Mayflower set off on 16 September 1620 from Plymouth - but is widely thought to have been built more than two decades earlier in Harwich, the home of the ship's master and joint owner, Captain Christopher Jones.
Eventually they landed in what they called New Plymouth, in what is now Massachusetts."

History
"Mayflower was an English ship that transported the first English Puritans, known today as the Pilgrims, from England to the New World in 1620. After a grueling 10 weeks at sea, the Mayflower, with 102 passengers and a crew of about 30, reached America, dropping anchor near the tip of Cape Cod on November 11, 1620."

A world's first, invented in 1917 - what is it, what has it lead to?

Re: History Challenge & Journal
Looking at it, it took off on rails, must have been a buggar to land. Which leasds me to think it was not meant to land and it was the first Kami Kaze flight.
