Hopefully the good old December-January hangover will kick in as usual.
For the last 6 or 7 years November has always been terrifying so I'm glad it's almost over. The next time we should start getting anxious is March. Well, there's Manure and Chelskea that we have to play in December so I guess those matches will show if we're capable of going for the title.
I can't see it mate. I'd rather you win the title instead of either of them two but I don't think it will happen.

If Van Persie wasn't made of glass MAYBE!

Unfortunately he is, he'd be up there with your Torres, Fabregas, Drogba if he wasn't so bloody fragile.

I love watching him play, the nasty bastard.

God I hate Roy Hodgson.

"Everyone I know in football respects the job I’m doing here and aren’t too surprised it hasn’t been an easy start. In fact, 95 per cent would have predicted it as [Jose] Mourinho did. ‘Liverpool will get worse and worse’ is what he said and if the great man Mourinho says it, I don’t know why you don’t quote him!”

Can anybody else see a physical resemblance between Bale and ex-Spud Darren Anderton?

Anyone have a clue why Nolan for NC didn't play even 1 second in such an important match? He's their captain and has been doing exceptionally well. Can't find him on the injured report, nothing. He simply disappeared for the day. Pete

Found it. He's been nursing an ankle injury for a few weeks and they kept a lid on it for some reason. Simply not fit to play yesterday, or next week. He'll be back for Liverpool though so they say. :D Pete

Well what can you say, all good sides need a little luck; we got that and we are very good side even below full strength!

Is it snowing yet BB? Just so we know on here, what is the weather policy about postponing a Premier League match? I seem to recall that last season we had some postponements? Pete

Which BB are you referring to? Some places have been really getting bombarded by the snow. Did you not see the Newcastle pitch yesterday a couple of hours before the KO? It resembled a Christmas Cake.

Weather is due to get worse as this week progresses with daytime temperatures of -12C forecast for Wednesday. Not meant to improve until Friday week at the earliest. My body hasn't been given the opportunity to reaclimatise since returning from Thailand 2 weeks ago.

It will have to be bad for Premiership postponements.

One is off. They've rescheduled the MU-Blackpool match due to bad weather. Pete

There's loads off in the lower leagues. Don't be surprised if more are off. Its not necessarily the condition of the pitch. Some are being cancelled due to the terrible conditions outside of the stadiums.

The temperature has risen to 2.5C in Bristol and it's raining - almost tropical. Cold snap is due to return on Monday.

Yep, it's usually called off because of the fans getting to the ground rather than the pitch in the Premier League.

Snowing right now in my neck of the woods but all functioning.
