I was in the Navy (Reserve) so not a Marine but have known and been close friends with quite a few. Be careful using the term "ex". Anytime I did that in one's presence I got brow beaten as they say "once a Marine, always a Marine". There are no ex-US Marines, only retired or inactive ones...

Ryan tho broke the mould....he classed himself as "ex-American" during the Bush years......for an ex-marine he's a proper odd one....I used to wonder how he'd learnt to drill water wells when he was a marine.....Id have thought drilling holes when at sea is a no no.

MB, I've no idea where you can get one of those fancy zappers, but reading Martin's post, it sounds very good. However, I find Tiger Balm to be a very effective alternative, and believe me, mossies love to eat me.
I know you get them from Aldis etc in England for about a quid.
I don't wear spray though or use coils and the only time iv'e been savaged was when I fell asleep, feet up outside for the night. I think Alcohol fights them off.
Aint none in my room, my GF is a mozzy hunting machine, my son is on autopilot with them too.
