The article in the Guardian is only stating the obvious.
1. We know that no vaccine provides total immunity.
2. We know that vaccinated people still get infected.
3. We know that infected people, vaccinated or not, can still spread the virus.
4. We know, therefore, that 'herd immunity' cannot be achieved in the literal sense.
5. Similarly, we know that we can't achieve 'herd immunity' for the 'flu.
I find it interesting that Vitamin D helps to increase immunity and all governments want people to stay inside. Now there's a conspiracy theory for you. You need only 20 mins. a day.
That's rather a strong and false claim, unless you can prove otherwise.
I retract the word ALL. For the rest, you can search for; Do Governments want people to stay inside during Covid-19.
I did and can't find anything to back up your claim other than wise advice to self isolate if you have Covid 19 symtoms.
Here are a couple of sites that may enlighten you rather than just make unsubstantiated claims. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/covid-19-co ... -cannot-do
Each province's daily domestic COVID-19 cases update in Thailand on Sunday 15th August

Dr. Tess Lawrie is a world-class researcher and consultant to the World Health Organisation. Her biggest clients happen to be those who are involved in the suppression of repurposed drugs. She has decided to speak out in protest against the current medical establishment at considerable personal risk.
