20 Beach Heroes cleaned the beach and the alley at Soi Takiab 1 earlier today. They picked up 120Kg of rubbish.
An excellent effort by all involved.
Next week's clean is on Saturday 21st for World Cleanup Day, there will be no Sunday cleanup.

There has been no feedback from the Clean Up Heroes this week - I'm sure they did a grand job.
Re: Clean Hua Hin's beaches movement - Trash Hero
Looking at this week's Beach Heroes photos, it is good to see what great effect the initiative of banning smoking on the beach has had. It looks as though everybody is sitting just off the beach, and dumping their crap there. Smokers complain they are being victimised, and I just can't understand why

Don't forget, today is World Clean Up Day. There are 2 events planned in Hua Hin - posters/invites are on page 28 of this thread.
Re: Clean Hua Hin's beaches movement - Trash Hero
Despite the dreadful weather, 36 Beach Heroes turned up at the ferry site for World Cleanup Day. The Heroes included
Students from Webster University and Vauban Company who also donated bags, gloves and a drinking water bucket. We collected 90 kg. of trash, but, alas, rain stopped play.
A brilliant effort in atrocious conditions - well done guys.

I hadn't twigged - there were 2 Beach Hero teams out for World Clean Up Day yesterday. The A Team comprised of a massive 126 Beach Heroes, including teams from Bluport, The Mall Group (aren't they the same?), Thai Life, Somtawin School and Klai Kang Won School.
What a fantastic turnout.

The Clean Up Heroes were also out in force with a lot of help yesterday, and in just 45 minutes collected a massive 475.5Kgs of trash. It has to be said, "Shame on Hua Hin for letting a beauty spot become so filthy."
A huge well done to the guys who care, and turned out to clean up Krailart Niwate Urban Mangrove for the rest of us to enjoy.

The seasonal wind has changed, it’s now blowing from the north. The entire beach is currently littered with LOTS of plastic, glass and organic debris. This is a perfect time for beach cleaners to pitch in !

How many times a year does this happen by the way, Scout?

Not often, seems like it it’s related to north winds and heavy rains. I’ve heard speculation it’s from the heavy rains flushing out debris from the rivers that empty into the gulf to the north of us.

A great effort by the Clean Up Heroes today on the Hua Hin - Pranburi cycle track. Just look at all of the rubbish collect by just a few good people in 1 hour.
