Have been there 3-4 times... sometimes empty but other times 1 or 2 tables in use.. also noticed people coming to pick up... We go there mainly for convenience as just across the street from our office. But no complaints about the food.

I had heard that selling them in newspaper in the UK was now illegal. Is that not true.

As far as I'm aware it's still not illegal, although very much in the minority these days - even those that do, line the newspaper with white paper for cleanliness. Maybe myth, but they always seemed to taste better served this way.

Not if prepared correctly. The texture should be thick enough to pick up with your fingers, If salt and vinegar have been applied correctly, licking the remnants of the peas from your fingers can be quite a delightful experience. :munch:
