The Rugby Thread
Re: The Rugby Thread
Oh really? I've just seen the highlights of the first 2 GB matches on BBC. I think they said the next game will be 7:30 tonight (Thai time).

Rio silver medallists Great Britain face Fiji - whose victory four years ago was their country's first ever Olympic medal - at 01:30 BST on Tuesday in their final pool game, with the quarter-finals beginning at 09:30 BST.

Re: The Rugby Thread
This one should be a hoot. I can't imagine the All Blacks playing their first string team. Regardless, it's good for USA rugby fans, and gives the All Blacks matches which may be lacking elsewhere this year once again due to Covid. I would imagine that either before or after this game they will be somewhere else in the north, perhaps Europe or the UK?

I've just watched the Fiji vs GB game. GB were awful, with so many errors. Very disappointed.
Seriously pharvey, I'm watching this stuff on British TV. Can you not receive it in Wales? Maybe you haven't paid your licence fee

GBR-CAN starts at 25 mins, then GBR-JAP (let it run to next programme) then USA-IRL.
Cannot overstate how tiring this game is. I played in schools tournaments regularly as a teenager. There's a reason it's only 15 minutes per half!
Particularly as you might play 3+ games a day...
Possession is key, you won't see much kicking. Slow, slow, quick, quick, slow!

Can't find the Fiji game, 1/4 finals start 0930, but I have to go out at 10 to take my granddaughter to have her nails done, would you believe!

Re: The Rugby Thread
I honestly don't understand. It's being thrown at me, and I'm only watching BBC. After the GB game, the rugby did switch to the red button (does that make a difference?), which I didn't bother with. Will look forward to the 1/4 finals.

I'm watching the mountain biking now, but the above seems to be today's rugby.

Re: The Rugby Thread
Oh, I see what you mean. I found the Day 4 screen that mentions the Fiji game, but the game shown is Japan. I'm watching what appears on the screen, and the Fiji game was live. It makes a pleasant change for you guys having to watch the live stuff at silly o'clock.
While you're there, how did Fiji have an England International in their team?

GBR running onto the pitch, and... I'm off! Hopefully the iPlayer pause will keep it for me.
