The seated area was well under utilised, and could easily have accommodated all supporters, with a huge crowd separation gap, as we do at Fort Thanarat. We are watching 2nd Division football with 2nd Division crowds, not Premier League crowds. I guess it was a case of Thai elitism at work.

We arrived about 2 hours before kick off. I guess there was an opportunity to look around, but I didn't see much worth looking at. The second bus arrived about 30 minutes before kick off.

I am well used to smaller grounds and the lower league teams from watching Hartlepool in my youth as you have watching Plymouth. Ha ha!! By the way they took another hammering yesterday - 4-0!! I would be interested in a few away games but I suffer from claustrophobia so crammed in a minibus for 3 or 4 hours at a time fills me with dread. I think most of the away games would be near Bangkok aswell and that would tip me over the edge!! I will give it some thought though so please keep us all up to date with any arrangements that can be made for these games because it sounds better than getting dragged around the shops in Market Village by a shopaholic wife!!

There is a light at the end of the tunnel Davy - Petchaburi is the last game of the season - only 40 minutes each way.

Video from last weekend's match. The Looktabfah penalty is at about 6:27. This shows the Hua Hin player kicked the ball, and at worse it could be classed as dangerous play. ROBBED!!!

NB: I don't know if it was my connection, or somebody found an edit button, and thought they would completely fcuk the edit up.

It'll be good to see how the Hua Hin squad fare against Premier League opposition. I'm hoping that Lampty is back because I rate him very highly - I think he punching well below his weight in the 2nd Division.

We went along to today's friendly, and for the first half there couldn't have been more than a dozen supporters. The support had more than doubled by the full time whistle.

Vana Nava Hua Hin City 4 - 2 Samut Songkhram

A typical friendly match played out in almost zero atmosphere. There had obviously been an agreement that there would be no tackling in the game. Despite this, the referee did see fit to book a couple of players during the match.

Hua Hin were still without a couple of their star players. Hua Hin started off well, playing a tight passing game, in fact I don't remember Samut Songkhram even touching the ball for several minutes.

IMHO Hua Hin were the better side in the first half, but again couldn't have hit a barn door from 3 feet.

There was a change of personnel to start the first half, with Hua Hin replacing an already weakened defence. Samut Songkhram soon took the advantage, and went 2 goals ahead very quickly.

Another personnel change by Hua Hin, and the balance of of power turned the other way again. 4 satisfying goals by Hua Hin, and their Premier League opposition had been taken to the cleaners.

I've no idea how many regulars were fielded by Samut Songkhram, but rarely did they look a team playing 2 tiers above Hua Hin.

Here's hoping Hua hin continue where they left off next Sunday.

That was a bit naughty wasn`t it. I would have loved to have been there but I was gearing myself up for Sunday and the top of the table clash. How can they possibly attract a crowd when they don`t tell anyone or if they do it is at such short notice - even if it is a friendly game!! They might aswell have had it behind closed doors to save the embarrassment of seeing a dozen fans there. Come on HuaHin City FC, we are better than this and it showed with the result!!

Yes, I put it on here and Facebook as soon as I knew, but as far as I could see, only 4 Farangs made it to the match.

Ah  , were you the white pair of socks sat behind us? My wife asked somebody where they were from, and the reply was Denmark. I still didn't look at your face, so have no idea what you look like.

I thought I could still detect a limp with Lampty. Anucha looked fine to me.
