Bubbly, I am going to make a prediction, If Joe Kinnear and the team keep going the way they are.
Before the end of November Newcastle will make two big anouncements.
No1: Joe Kinnear will stay as their manager
No2: Mike Ashley will not sell the club & Dennis Wise will stay Director of Football
My main reasons for that is the fact that I think with Dennis Wise there in his current position as Director of Football, and him having previous dealings with Kinnear as a manager, I cannot see why that relationship would not work in the current situation. It seems to be at present
Mike Ashley obviously bought Dennis Wise to do a job at Newcastle. In fact he had done pretty well from the players that he bought to the club. It was just KK throwing his toys from the pram again when he cannot get his own way, that caused most of the shit from what I could see.
I for one cannot see why the Geordie's would ever want Keegan back again. They had a couple of good seasons under his management, but when things went wrong he pulled the pin (as he has done with most of his management positions).
To me personally he has never proved to me that he is the type of manager that will ever win an EPL or any other major competition.
His only success at Newcastle was to win the 2nd Division and take Newcastle back to the Premier, other than that has always resigned when the pressure seemed to be on him.
In Mike Ashley, if this happens, I think you will see a new more business like Mike Ashley who will probably behave more like an owner and not one of the boys.
He is a very astute businessman who at present is probably seeing the club perform how he wanted to under KK. If they carry on going in the current direction I think all will be forgotten by the fans, and he will stay
We have heard nothing bad recently in the press about Ashly, Wise or Kinnear.
I think the abuse Kinnear gave the press in one of his 1st conferences set a benchmark in establishing who was the boss at Newcastle.
I think it made the Players, Fans and other Staff at Newcastle take a step back and showed to all of them that he had full commitment to his new job and would expect nothing less from all of them.
So far people have seemed to take notice, so only time will tell.
Now would be an ideal time to start Alan Shearer's apprenticeship in management.
To me Kinnear is one of the old style managers who can command respect from the dressing room, much in the same way as Harry Redknapp.
What better way for Shearer to learn the ropes and when the time is right, Kinnear would step aside knowing that Shearer is ready to manage on his own. Much the same thing that happend at Portsmouth with Tony Adams.
Whether the last item regarding Shearer happens, I am not to sure, but if there was ever a time for him to enter into management and learn, this is the time.
