Not a bad start, 3-3 against Germany or Klose. However, two of the German goals were let in too easily by the Finland defence after Jääskeläinen had short stopped. The thing is, however, that you should win your home matches to qualify.

It will be interesting to read tomorrow (by our own commentators) how these players suddenly became world class, despite a poor and foreign manager.

If Croatia are leading the group, England must be in a higher division :guns:

and
in the England group there is only one week team and England struggled to beat them.
That is just an England trait - they always struggle against the crap teams.

Incidentally, how many other teams have beaten Croatia in a competetive match in Zagreb?
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Yup, it was very good.

A long time since we played with a bit of conviction and that was before the sending off, which was a frustrated savage reflection by the Croat skipper on their performance, or Englands - and Joe Coles head - hope he's fit for City. Anyone know how many stitches?

Good to see a mobile front man leading the pack as well (Heskey).

Only naff part being Lamps pass to JT that led to their goal. But I'll settle for that.
