1. Rab from the Partick Police - PP Bar
2. Ali danced like this all the way to Alcatraz - Butterfly Rock
3. Tarzan swears by this! - Jungle Juice
4. Tall tropical southeast Asian grass - Bamboo Grove
5. Owned by a bottle of whiskey! - Johnny Walker

Also for what its worth, this has been one of the best threads for a long time, or maybe that says more about me, I didnt get the original !!!!

Hi again Jockey,

2nd and final go - because of the way you spelt Whiskey, could it be Crawfords (Irish) and not Johnny Walkers (Scotch - no 'e') ????

Nope. The reason I spelt whisky with an e was due to my Americanized Firefox spell checker! The answer to the clue Owned by a bottle of WHISKY is indeed Johnnie Walkers although the clue might have been a half bottle of whisky!

Jocky, Shame I am not in HH to collect it for the NY, but am off back to the UK in 4 days time.
If you are out and about for new years eve, you can donate my beer to the girls in the Sugar Cane if you so wish.
Happy and safe New Year to all in HH.

Chelsea,

I will pass on the message to the lady herself.

Happy new year. Pity you cannot be hear. It has warmed up for the occasion now.

I still don't get the Dr. Dave Theory and I have never heard of that bar anyway.

Funny thing is that Villa_boy's description fits my theory exactly but????

Back to more positive bar stuff and of the cryptic theme. This one is a good bar.

Ian Flemming's tasty pet.

Pete is closest so far.

Anyway here is another one.

Half of the spiny lobster on the river crossing without a bridge.

BTW.

Pussy Galore is (or was) the name of a bar in Pattaya. The Morals Police decided that no bar sign could contain a selection of offensive English words including Pussy and Cock. This was seen as just another challenge.

Pussy Galore was cleverly changed to Fussy Galore with a bit of paint.

The Hard Cock Cafe became the Hard Bangkok Cafe also known as Coconuts.

There is now a bar in Pattaya called the FCUK INN (Liquor at the front, Poker at the rear).

I'm at a disadvantage not knowing the bar names here.
