Yahoo.co.uk are blocking all of HHAD's emails so please do not contact the site if you are using one of these accounts - you wont get the reply!

Bloody cheek, considering the rubbish that gets forwarded to my googlemail inbox from my yahoo inbox. About 30 spam mails a day, all pushing viagra and its mates. Any idea why they've blocked you?

Their spam filters are simply too strong so any replies HHAD sends out don't get through, there is now a warning message on the contact page letting people know that HHAD are replying to them - its their system thats blocking it.

TOT SMTP Problems

Post by JimmyGreaves »

For the last week have been switching smtp servers to send mail through TOT.

smtp-adsl.totonline.net was the one that had been working for ages, however last week it failed and started using smtp5.totonline.net. Tonight that failed so went through the complete list on http://www.expathuahin.com/internet-huahin.php without any success.

Didn't realise I could call 1177 and got a nice enough lady who understood the problem and gave me the following 2 servers. smtp.totisp.net and 118.175.8.10 both failed so now I cannot send out mail via outlook.

They have actioned a fault report so they tell me, have given them my phone number etc.

Anyone been down this route and had a quick reply/resolution?

ps they block my own domains smtp server btw.

Effing annoying isnt it?

Yep they block your own SMTP servers, all of my domains are blocked by CAT so I have to use their server which they change at will as often as TOT it seems.

Informing their customers of these changes is just too logical and professional for Thai service providers - only option is to call them and find out what they've changed it to today.

This situation is getting worse.

Thai SMTP servers and IP addresses are now getting blacklisted abroad for spam offenses - evidence of which is clear by emails bouncing back with the following message:
Mail Delivery System <MAILER-DAEMON@mailout1.tttmaxnet.com>

The following message to <name@hotmail.com> was undeliverable.

The reason for the problem:
5.1.0 - Unknown address error 550-'SC-001 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation problems. If you are not an email/network admin please contact your E-mail/Internet Service Provider for help. Email/network admins, please visit http://postmaster.live.com for email delivery information and support'
So you can't use your own domains as the idiots block them and you can't use theirs because they're blacklisted.

Not sure if anyone else has been having problems but Thai SMTP servers have been particularly bad this week with both CAT and TT&T's failing frequently.

Maybe the government have put restrictions on outgoing email in light of events in the capital.

CAT has an alternative server: relay2.cat.net.th, TT&T don't "sorry, its full" was the answer when we called them about it.

Haven't a problem - and the events in the capital aren't all that impressive and certainly not very secret... The poll tax riots in London make this look like a picnic!
This is the way

You're the lucky one, it will only affect you if you're sending on your own domain - Hotmail and other online freebie email providers are not affected.

I've been inundated with people suffering due to poor internet connections and not being able to send email, and this government are no strangers to stifling the internet a little from time to time.

One exception Buksi. I have two domains hosted on a paying basis with Yahoo Business and it's working well from my own email client, as well as webmail. Probably, like you say, they aren't or can't target companies such as Google, Yahoo, Hotmail etc. Pete

TOT - SMTP SERVER

Post by JimmyGreaves »

Anyone having problems sending mail via smtp with TOT?

I know they change the smtp server every so often without notifying :-)

Been using smtp-adsl.totonline.net for ages without an issue but today it's stopped working.

Checked all the other listed servers @ http://www.expathuahin.com/internet-huahin.php without any joy.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why not just integrate Yahoo or Gmail in Outlook. Works for me. Change ports to inncoming pop3 to 995 and outgoing 465. (Ps. my internet provider is TOT. / Goldcyber. for more info se Gmail or Yahoo`s homepages.
