Villa Market has sour cream, but check the prices! The prices vary wildly but the cheapest is about 32 baht for eight ounces. Makro in Pranburi sells the same brand for the same price, but I don't remember seeing (or looking for) it at Makro in Hua Hin.

You can often substitute plain yogurt for sour cream, but yogurt just doesn't have that rich, artery-clogging goodness!

Nothing wrong with a good steak and kidney pie
You are absolutely right! And I know of a lady in Soi Salawat who makes them. Same as they serve in All in Hua Hin!

My wife says that you can. For one cup of cream you need to add the juice 1 teaspoon at a time and keep whipping.

I’ve never tasted it (I hate sour cream). However the other half says better tasting sour cream she suggests you add vinegar and lemon juice in equal quantities to your cream while whipping..

You are on your own as I have never tried the end result!!!

I have bought sour cream at villa market, makro in hua hin and at tesco in hua hin. All the same brand and all came in a container just like yogurt comes in.

I would say no but someone did ask where they could find sour cream.

A little hot sauce on biscuits and gravy is really good though.

When you tell us the name of the shop that sells pies in soi Salawat, I'll tell you about sour cream and biscuits.

BTW, thanks people for the advice regarding sour cream. Will look out for some next time I visit Makro.
