Not entirely true if you read the info. Come on BB we don't need melodramatic headlines. Leave that to the Daily Mail

Be interesting to see if the Imm Office there will close.

Bluport's words, not mine. It gives the exceptions of which Immigration is not one.

Thinking more on the subject it probably makes sense. Why would you be out shopping for new clothes, you're not supposed to be going out. Why shop for sporting goods, all sport activities suspended. Shop for essentials.

TBH BB you're better than that to say Bluport's words not mine. If you're after the shock factor of the headline, well done.

I wasn't being pedantic but up until now, when I've tendered a claim on an insurance policy, as long as the claim is not part of the exclusions then it's fine. So based on that, if covid-19 is not excluded then a claim is valid surely!

N.B. Sorry, that's a response to the Colonel's post.

To list what's included would amount to some bedtime reading.
Try not to be pedantic and pick holes but rather to look at this the other way. I don't want to waste time with companies who won't cover Covid 19, at least in the first instance

So my question to the forum was.... does anyone know of/or are dealing with any insurance companies who'll still cover it. Because they're clearly in the minority as most are withdrawing it.

Just using the forum to seek help in trying to sort wheat from chaff, thats all.

Thanks

Ps I may have found one.... battleface.com. I'm 'battling' through the details but they will cover covid 19, insure if already travelling and theyll cover existing conditions but they have a few get out clauses on those aspects.

That would be an obvious question to ask Matt at AA - rather than ask on the Forum where you’re likely to get a range of answers - and even with the best intentions, some could be wrong or out of date, so better ask the expert!!

Both Malls are only doing what has already been implemented in Bangkok (and Korat). It's clearly linked to Govt. emergency measures.

You're right BB. Immigration at Bluport is closed for the duration. Just checked with my other half who is still at work at The Mall groups head office in Bkk.

Well, things have obviously moved on here in the UK. Pretty much housebound aside from a rare visit to the local Tesco early in the morning (6:00am) to buy essentials, and a walk with Bob The Dog in the evening. We live in Chepstow, South Wales and close to a small wood and fields, so few people around.

Would have to agree that personal Hygiene is the number 1, as mentioned by "Crafack": -

Wash hands with soap and water regularly with soap and water regularly for at least 20 sec (if possible, carry and use hand sanitizer).
Try not to wipe eyes/nose/face with hands - if you've been out, thoroughly wash face with soap and water also.
If and when out, try to keep a safe distance from others (+/- 2m).

If and when I do go out - literally just to the local Tesco, I'll change my clothes (and take a shower) immediately on return home and keep these clothes in a plastic bag - these clothes just used for outdoors and a then a change of clothes for indoors..... Obviously both sets washed when need be!!

The LHG is continually wiping down/cleaning surfaces (including the shopping) on a regular basis.

Stay safe & keep well all :thumb:

Is she wiping you down or do you have to DIY?

Unfortunately, if I go out, she's normally waiting in a Hazmat suit..... :(

THE GREAT EGG SHORTAGE!!

Looks like panic buying of eggs has hit Hua Hin. This morning I went to Macro and me being me forgot to buy eggs. Not so long ago I saw a post from a mate over in Pattaya who said that stores have been stripped bare of eggs. I was going to tell him that we have a more discerning type of shopper here and off I popped to my local Mom n Pop store(Tap Thai) with my sixer egg carton. I was lucky, she's down to her last tray and told me that Macro has been raped of eggs. I then went to take a look at a shop I don't use often that usually has literally hundreds of trays for sale. No surprise then, there were none at all. And no, I didn't panic buy, just left with 4 extra eggs.

Yes, in the East also but the women got to the bottom of it here. People are going to the markets and buying large quantities, driving a few kms away and setting up roadside shops in the back of their pick-up trucks, and selling at highly inflated prices. These people are now lepers and everyone is avoiding them, saying.."let their eggs rot!.."

Never mess with a Thai housewife's eggs!
