One programme from the UK might be coming to an unsavoury (pun intended) premature ending - TV cooking programme Masterchef has been rocked by its two main presenters being sacked Greg Wallace (someone I’ve never really liked) was sacked first after a string of allegations relating to inappropriate sexual comments, physical touching and instances of dropping his trousers wearing no underwear - clearly the guy has a problem!! The lead presenter John Tarode has been sacked first after one alleged use of a racist term some 6 or 7 years ago - so far no details of the actual term used or to whom, although Tarode claims that at the time its alleged to have been said, he claims it was completely unintentional and he apologised to the other person who apparently accepted it without a problem, so it appears to be more of a BBC witch hunt rather than anything else. Both incidents follow recent criticism of them allowing programmes at Glastonbury and a programme about Gaza with “dubious” content to be aired.

Yes, and I'm not happy, I enjoy that programme.Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 7:24 pm One programme from the UK might be coming to an unsavoury (pun intended) premature ending - TV cooking programme Masterchef has been rocked by its two main presenters being sacked ...

In the last few years I've discovered some previously hidden culinary skills, and the word seems to have got out. Masterchef contacted me the other day and asked if I'd be interested in taking over as the presenter. When I explained that I'd had a laryngectomy and could no longer speak, the producer said "Yes, I know, that's exactly why we want you."
This is the way

I’d like to laugh but that might be considered inappropriate behaviour and I’ll be sacked from the Forum!!

Have to say though, I and the LHG also enjoy the program - but try and bring back the likes of Monica Galetti and Michel Roux Jr. Far better!

I’m quite happy with Marcus Waring who last year hosted the MasterChef Professional series along with Monica Galetti. I’ve enjoyed watching both the Amateur and Professional series, less so the Celebrity version, but hope they can keep it going somehow, although whether it will be the same now, who knows?

Have to admit, I tend to avoid the "Celebrity Version" with regards to just about any and all TV that I've enjoyed.... BUT, MasterChef has been an exception.... Who knew a Lillywhite Cricketer or a Front Row Rugby player could do so well?!Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 16, 2025 10:05 pm I’m quite happy with Marcus Waring who last year hosted the MasterChef Professional series along with Monica Galetti. Also agree with regards to Marcus Waring.
