Premier league 08 09

Post by Arcadian »

Is there still talk of Celtic and Rangers joining the Barclays Premiership? If they did it would put the quality of Scottish football into perspective, I can`t see either of them finishing in the top half. Also Richard Scudamore is still hopeful he can resurrect the dotty plan to play a 39 th game overseas. I know that marketing and shirt sales are behind it but, please, the home based fans are what the game is all about. For example I have nothing but admiration for Hull, they beat my team Arsenal after all, but would Wigan v Hull fill far east stadium?

I dont think it will ever happen.

If they did join the English league they would have to start at the very bottom and work there way through the leagues.

I dont see why 2 English clubs should make way for them shower of shites.

a gooner in charge of spurs
it's all just part of the conspiracy to take you down to the championship :D :D

on a more serious note, i think he is just the type of manager to sort things out for you, top man & good manager
Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

Well it can't be worse than when George Graham came!! Think Jamie is a Spurs fan though.

Agree he is what we need, no risk, you know what you're getting etc. My fear was another average foreign manager like we've been trying for god knows how many years. Although as a boyhood Arsenal fan that wil qualify him to be a foreign manager for many Spurs fans.

Latest on spurs is!

Richard Branson was asked to be the new spurs sponsor but he declined the offer.

When asked why he replied, How could we possibly put Virgin on the shirts of a team that gets screwed every week.
----------------------------------------------------------
The local council has blocked plans to build a new ground on Northumberland park, a town hall source said:
We dont mind having a funfair there once a year, but a circus once a fort-night is a bit much.
---------------------------------------------------------
Juande Ramos tells the groundsman at White Hart Lane that the pitch is looking spot on, It should be he replies:
We put 70million worth of s--t on it every other week.
--------------------------------------------------------
A man was found dead floating in the Thames, Wearing a blonde wig, full make-up, bra, knickers, suspenders, and a spurs shirt.
Before informing the next of kin the police removed the spurs shirt to save the family embarrassment.

How many of his Portsmouth ex Spurs players will follow him back to White Hart Lane - could this be the demise of Portsmouth?

............ or is this just another 'Southampton type' loan. Return to Portsmouth after he's well and truly turned the knife on Spurs?

Will Harry take his assistant, Tony Adams? I can`t see Spurs fans accepting that, or Tony for that matter.

It should give the Spurs fans reason to shudder when they think of 'Arry being able to get his hands on all that cash in the January transfer window...
However he will get them playing and almost certainly save them from relegation. I predict a big money bid for David James...
