From the jab itself, I hardly felt the needle or vaccine being administered with Sinovac, whereas today, it was definitely a case of “yes I can feel that going in”. Now, if I hadn’t had the jab I’d now be thinking “I feel like I’m coming down with something”, which I know many people have reported. I’m not concerned, just reporting the difference and presumably (hopefully) the AZ vaccine is more effective.
I can relate to feeling the gunk going in, plus a little discomfort for maybe 2 minutes. Family are making me relax 100%, but from 3 minutes past vaccine (before 8am) until now, I've had no reaction.

I've never had a reaction to a vaccine in my life, so this comes as no surprise.

I did read the Princess had donated a load of Sinopharm (I think) to Hua Hin, so maybe that is what you can register for.

25 minutes ago they posted:

"Tuesday 24 August 2021
Hua Hin Hospital organizes vaccinations
1. Sino Farm (Sinopharm)
2. Pfizer
Registration for queue cards is available on the 9th floor of the Support Building with parking from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m."

I imagine this means first jab Chinese, second Pfizer, but a Thai has been telling me they believe all Pfizer is reserved for foreigners, and the Sino is for Thais. I don't think this is correct but am so confused now who knows.
I think the Sinopharm is already taken for Hua Hin Municipality registered patients. The Pfizer is for the usual wrinkly community + 7 diseases, and available on a first come, first served basis.
According to the HHH FB page the Sinopharm is for those registered with the PKK provincial administration and for those whose employers have paid for it.

The Pfizer is for foreigners who registered on expatvac.consular.go.th

9th floor car park building, 7am - 3pm.

Can you switch your second jab at HHH from AZ to Pfizer now its in plentiful supply?

And is SV + Pfizer a recognised combo?

As far as I can recollect (the grey matter isn’t quite what it used to be) this is the first time I’ve had a bad reaction to a vaccine. The good news, is that I took a couple of paracetamol a few hours ago and I’m already feeling somewhat better - hopefully by the morning, I’ll be running around like a 69 year old!!

Good news, just take it easy.

After the first shot, I was waiting for something to happen. This time I'm not even thinking about it,

Myself, wife and step-daughter get the shot from BCCT tomorrow. My wife and daughter are Thai so not from the UK but no problem.

I'll be straight there and back. Not sure spending a couple of nights in BKK is attractive what with the virus plus student protests.

IMPORTANT- appointment email is NOT a scam

I just read about the Pfizer delivery to Huahin so rechecked on that odd expatvac email some of us received earlier today.
Turned out that K Kamonchanok Leseananprecha is in Computer Ops at Hua Hin hospital.
She has since separately emailed me to tell me the location for my vaccination tomorrow (Bang Saphan hospital). I completed the google form and got a simple confirmation. No requests for money or whatever!
Sorry for any confusion!

I got my email from her yesterday as well, having registered on August 1st. I showed up at 7am with the email and my passport. I went through three different checkpoints and then sat in a queue for my first jab. I got the jab at 8:05 and was allowed to leave exactly 30 minutes later. My second jab will be given on September 16. There was one guy who showed up without the email confirmation. He was not in the hospital database, so he was turned away. There was another guy who did have an email, but he too was not in the database for some reason, and he was turned away.

Just had first Pfizer jab at Hua Hin Hospital

Approx fifty minutes to one hour in all , quueing very smooth, 9th/10th floors busy but efficient. Now must sit 30 minutes, they say, before leaving. Impressed. They only allow 3 weeks before next jab which is not enough for strongest antibody production, their agenda is clearly to get the country fully vaccinated without regard to the finer science, but at least it's protection. Happy.

21 days is the recommend time between the first and second jab.
You lucky dogs up there. Down here in the south who knows when they will come.
