In fact I switched off at half time I was so angry. After losing 3-0 in Istanbul, losing to West Ham in the FA Cup and now Man city, I have had enough.

Nic Anelka

I've just watched the 5-0 away win at Boro & would've thought that a game like this, with injuries at Chelsea, would be just the sort of game for Anelka to strut his stuff. IMO he just hasn't done it since he arrived from Bolton. He has some assists etc, but I didn't think they bought him for the Heskey type role

I would like to see Anelka score a few more goals, but as long as he keeps providing the assists that he has and also plays his part in the team performance I am more than happy.
With 7 regulars out of the team last night I thought that we might struggle, but to get a result like that, was a credit to the players that were in the team, and demonstrated the team spirit that is present within the club at the moment.

Which really goes to show that Chelsea have 2 world class teams. Without injuries they could play 2 important matches on one day and still win.

I would hate to have the job of deciding which 11 go out on the pitch. I reckon having a few injuries makes the job easier.

I didn't see the match due to the cable company pissing around with the channels yesterday but reports keep coming that the regular hero of the team is Malouda.

Whatever your leanings you must admire the efforts of Liverpool. Brace grabber Kuyt is proving to be one of the best players in the premiership and he seems to be happy anywhere on the pitch.

I just loved the Stoke v Spurs game - a real throwback! All that was missing was Chopper Harris, Dave Mackay and Norman Hunter!!

I think its fair to say that Spurs didn't like it up them!

Their goalie - who the hell is he and how is he meant to better than Robinson - looked like he was thinking, what the f**k am I doing here - he just couldn't handle the cold wind, yet alone the aerial assault and at one stage I thought he was gonna walk off.

In the end he whacked one of his own who had to be carried off - you couldn't make it up. And Spurs were lucky not to have a 3rd sent off with the tackle on Sorenson that left him bloodied and bruised - and being substituted - a nasty, vicious challenge.

I agree (for once) with Jamie Redknapp when he said after the game, that the Spurs system isn't working, especially for them. As he identified, whoever is the Director of Football has bought players that are just not good enough. Some of their newbies look out of their depth.

I think it's going to be tough for Spurs this season - great game, though! :thumb:

There was a comment on the BBC News commentary. Somebody asked, "Whats the difference between Tottenham Hotspur and a Samosa?"

.......................... A Samosa has 3 points.

Funny how that east end kid has turned into Mr. Suburbia! Still, the Blues have always had a big showbiz following. I still remember well the day Raquel Welch paraded around the old Bridge. Course, we didn't realise then that all she wanted was to wrap herself around Ossies (RIP) loins!!! :thumb:

One of our biggest celeb fan always wears a West Am scarf (he's been doing it 50 years, nothing to do with this season before anyone says the obvious)
