Vana Nava Hua Hin 1 - 0 Looktabfah
Wow!! How are you supposed to play football in that heat? Full marks to both teams for keeping going until the end
It was the smallest crowd that I've seen at Fort Thanarat, and even the drums/singers(in the loosest sense of the world) were quiet for long periods - certainly not so much of a carnival atmosphere today.
Hua Hin got off to a very lively start, and were awarded a penalty early doors. Unfortunately, Kissana's shot was well saved by the Looktabfah keeper. Minutes later, he made another fantastic save from point blank range, and I thought then that this keeper was going to be very hard to beat.
It was good to see Theerawat back on the pitch, after what I can only assume was a long term injury. He made up for lost time by getting himself booked very early on for a cynical foul.
Half time came, and Hua Hin had all of the chances, but the score remained 0 - 0.
The half time raffle seemed to have fewer prizes than usual, and we didn't get any pork and rice.
Back to the football, the second half was much the same as the first. It wasn't looking good. I had resigned myself to the fact that Hua Hin weren't going to score, and was hoping Looktabfah didn't sneak a lucky winner. Then in the 88th minute, super sub Sutin blast the ball home to win the match.
Although mathematically possible, I would doubt that Hua Hin have taken top spot in the league. I think they will remain a solid 2nd. I will post the league table when it is published.
Next Game: Futura SEEKER vs Hua Hin on 10 May.

Edit] I forgot to mention that man of the match for me was the 'brick outhouse', S. Lampty - so strong in defence. Nothing phases him.
