Yes, and they are also considering using Sinopharm from 3 years plus.

Countries such as UAE and China are already administering Sinopharm to the very young.

85% shot rate required for schools to open
So are they going to deprive the children that won't take the jab from an education? Oh the joys of living under a dictatorship :banghead: :guns:
They're not going to prevent non-vaccinated kids from school.
The order is that at least 85% of staff and pupils have to be vaccinated to allow the school to open. That doesn't mean you can't go to school unless you've been vaccinated.

If that was the case then the 85% would be irrelevant and the order would be different.

If 20% or more parents say no to vaccinating their kids, they're never going to reach this target. So what happens then? Schools remain closed?

I don't think there are a lot of anti-vaccers here, if any at all. If they make the vaccine available and tell the people to do their kids, they will, unless some medical reason prevents it.

/\ As has been said on another thread some people just don't look beyond the headlines and make an assessment :cuss:

Not you Pete C..I was reacting to HHT's post in a positive way

With the junta calling the shots, making assessment is all we can do especially if our children are involved - headlines or otherwise. :banghead:

Its all about freedom of choice, which is being rapidly eroded in this country.

Exactly. That's what the order states. Less than 85% vaccinated then the school will not be allowed to open.

...... until they do a u-turn which they're good at.

Parents given until Sept 24 on vaccines for schoolchildren

Parents have until Sept 24 to decide whether to inoculate their children with the Pfizer vaccine before the Education Ministry reopens real classrooms for students.

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) on Wednesday disclosed the timeline for student vaccinations, with Sept 24 the final day for parents to give their consent.

The government will provide the Pfizer vaccine for students from 12 to 17 years old on a voluntary basis.

So how do you give your consent? My daughter, who lives with me has asked the school, both Somtawin (Thai) and Salesian regarding her children and they know nothing about how this 'roll out' is going to be organised.

Another bright idea that doesn't have any cunning plan to fulfil it yet. Maybe another Vaccine Cert type idea :?

Are you believing and reacting to the headlines like very naughty boys?

There will no doubt be another useless app and u-turn when nobody bothers because they don't know how to. Meanwhile, schools remain closed and the kids suffer (not that education has ever been a priority in Thailand - unless you're rich).

Edit: just found this "headline", not sure how plausible it is so make up your own minds. Study was carried out by the University of California.

Boys more at risk from Pfizer jab side-effect than Covid, suggests study
Healthy boys may be more likely to be admitted to hospital with a rare side-effect of the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid vaccine that causes inflammation of the heart than with Covid itself, US researchers claim.

Their analysis of medical data suggests that boys aged 12 to 15, with no underlying medical conditions, are four to six times more likely to be diagnosed with vaccine-related myocarditis than ending up in hospital with Covid over a four-month period.

They have a plan. Just haven't informed the schools of it.
September 10-17 the schools prepare the names of the students who are set to be
inoculated
 September 17-22 educational institutions explain things to parents
 September 21-24 educational institutions explain details to students
 September 25th educational institutions to send list of students to get the vaccines
 September 28-30th educational institutions plan how to get the inoculation done at
their institutions
 October 1st educational institutions prepare the venue for the vaccination
 October 4th is the 1st inoculation of Pfizer

Today my daughter received a call from Salesian asking whether she gave permission for her son to take the vaccine.
September 17-22 educational institutions explain things to parents
So permission is sought before the explanation!!

Sorry, I meant to say, my youngest granddaughter was e-mailed an authorisation form from Hua Hin School yesterday as well. So Hua Hin seems to have its act in order.
