About lunchtime from our place it looked quite threatening but it's cleared up and as hot and humid as ever.
About time it rained, hard and for a few hours. Would hopefully keep the dust down and reduce heat and humidity.

I'm now a week back in Blighty after ten weeks in HH, and everyone is saying I brought warmer weather back with me..!

BUT.. the first ten weeks of 2010 in HH were really over-hot for me, whilst in 2009 there were a few days when a long sleeve shirt was needed in the evening..

22-28C is good for me, but I collapse into useless zombie mode when the weather goes much above 30C..

But hey! what's wrong with being a useless zombie... :D

This should suit you down to earth then, if you can be bothered to read it that is; 'In Praise Of Idleness' by Bertrand Russell

It may be rubbish - but by golly it's British rubbish.

Thought this may be of interest. From what I've read the oceans in this area are hotter than normal this year which could lead to an early start of the monsoon. Special note on the map is tropical storm 2 east of the Philippines. About 1 1/2 months early for storms like this to be forming. Pete

Winds ENE so possibly it will make it across the Gulf to HH. Pete

An urgent word of warning. That link has just tried to load a virus named JS/IFrame.gen (a Trojan) on to my work computer. I am now waiting to be contacted by our security people  Thanks Pete.

Sorry Gentlemen. It's a Thai government web site I've never had problems with before, although I'm on a Mac most of the time. Pete

No worries, I know that you wouldn't have done it maliciously.

It's something to think about though as those on a Mac would never know and possibly pass on who knows what, unless they also run Mac Windows and have an anti-virus installed. I'll look into some kind of Mac virus program. Pete
