bars on canal road

Discussion on where to go when the sun goes down in Hua Hin; bars, pubs, clubs, karaoke and general nightlife.

I went to one of these places with one of my wife's cousins - not on the canal road though - it was further up the coast toward Klai Kang Won and right on the sea front (no beach, just a wall down to the sea below). The 'mamasan' was friendly enough but I found it utterly depressing as the girls were talentless, their performances lacklustre and the whole thing was just sooooo tacky. My stomach turns over just recalling the event!

Go Soi 70, cross the northern railway crossing and follow the Pala U road 150 m.
Turn right and you are at the big market. Now you're on the canal road.
It goes to Karat Village, Tropical Hill, Tippawan Village etc. almost all the way to Cha Am.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Is it the road made of concrete "plates", not asphalt? hmmm... I guess I know the place.

When you want to sit alone with no farangs this area is good but for me
boring bars because some mamasan often comes and try to push you to buy ladydrinks very quickly.Not relaxing.
