Im from denmark and I dont now what pickled fish is, maybe google translation put me in the wrong
direction,they say pickled fish = syltede fisk and I can think anything what it could be :shock:

maybe you think of the swedish fish called surstromning which is a really mother fucker sucker :D

but if Donjayis got I will try it to.

Maybe talking about Rollmops which are pickled herring fillets. Think they may be originally packaged in the baltic seas but maybe they are eaten more in Germany. Thought I had had them at a Swedish restaurant once but not sure.

ok I think I got and you mean marinated herring which is salted and after that put in a mixture of vinegar in a long time,there can be many different taste such as curry,herbs and other good stuff,now im getting hungry :munch:

I think they mean marinated heering, which we Danes call marinerede sild. De findes jo i mange forskellige udgaver, og måske også som stegte sild..
