You'll be lucky! Couldn't squeeze a keychain form them in Bangkok!

But very very happy with my Hyperstrada.

Hua Hin/Cha am Ducati

Post by Grunter »

Well headed out for a chat with the guys at Ducati the other day & walked out with a new Monster Corse 796 on order

Anyway, the missus was well pleased i can assure you, as we have a stable of bikes at home now.

Well bit of a plug for them i guess, they were easy to deal with so far, now just have to wait 4 to 6 weeks for it to arrive
Then it will be out on the road for a few days having a play on the new toy i guess

I tried for a free keychain as well when I picked up my Hyperstrada this Monday. No luck at all. I was promised some kind of bag though, but they didn't have it in stock, so no idea what it is or what it looks like. The salesguy said he will drop it by at my house when it arrives.

At the moment they have a Hyperstrada and a Monster available for test drive. The only other model for show is the Multistrada Pikes Peak. The Streetfighter was sold and out of the showroom.

Deliverytime for my Strada was just 6 days.

His English is not the best, if you have a Thai friend then I suggest they phone on your behalf assuming you don't speak Thai of course.. :D
If you have problems then post back on this forum with the information you require and I will help you get an answer.
Would you consider Kawasaki over Ducati? They have a showroom in Kui Buri (~45mins South of Hua hin). Their service is far better unfortunately they only have up to 300CC bikes. Nip into Bangkok for a test-ride of their bigger bikes.
I recently bought the Ninja 1000 and have been extremely happy with the bike and Motoaholic's (Kawasaki) service.

Going to plug Motoaholic some more as they are opening a brand new accessories shop between Hua Hin and Koh Tao. Should be open in a few months all going well.

I think these guys are selling bikes fast enough to completely erase the words 'discount' or 'freebie' from their dictionary.

Yes, I too got a bum bag,. I ordered the bike at the motorshow in November, and understood that the free bumbag was a 'show special', maybe it applies to all purchases. Anyway, the bumbag gets used..... and I paid THB410 for the Keychain! They did give me a whopping 5% off the price!

However, just want to say that so far, the bike has been great, and so has the service from the Ducati guys (I deal with Ducati Thonglor). I've had a few problems, but always has been sorted.

I've got about 7,500kms on the bike now. Just completed a 2,500km trip up to the North of Thailand - rode some absolutely wonderful roads. Decent twisties with good road surface, and not so much traffic. Had a lot of fun. A few buddies from Singapore joined me (they rode their Multistradas up from Singapore, so they did over 7,000km on their single trip).

Have only had my Hyperstrada for 6 months, and think it's a stunning bike in many ways. However, I am very tempted to move up to a Multistrada (biggest barrier is the pennies!). Oh well, keep on dreaming I guess! Still doesn't stop me enjoying the Hyper though, a wonderful and versatile bike.

DAMN right!!!

Day-1: Picked up 'the green beast' from Motoaholic-Kui Buri.
Day-2: Set off for Koh Samui for the bike week
Day-6: First service done at Kui Buri. The double-take on the engineer's face was priceless when he checked the ODO.
Day-10: Hua Hin Saturday ride.
Day-11: Visa-run to the Kanchanaburi immigration point.

The bike has been parked up since.
