Kendo - I don't think you need to worry too much about quantities of baby food. By the time Princess is 18 months old she should really be eating pretty much anything as long as it is mushed up a bit, and may well have some teeth. In fact if she is still on the Heinz mush by then I would be really worried!
Quite honestly I would be starting to introduce some different flavours into her food now. Baby food is just high priced stuff anyway. Use a food processor to puree the meals you eat yourself for her and see how she goes.
