Brewer's yeast extract is a waste product left over from brewing beer. It's also a major ingredient in Vegemite/Marmite. Bought some because I could see that white rice wasn't giving me much in the way of B vitamins. Didn't take long before I thought of buttered toast without Vegemite as a missed opportunity for something better.

Could the Danish Parliment do something useful like banning volcanic ash exports from Icelend, its one time dependency?
