Oldham was one of the more sociable grounds to visit. In the morning it was always Oldham Supporters vs Plymouth Supporters (on their all weather pitch). That was followed by a few pints and lunch. Finally, in the afternoon it was the main event.

Did anybody travel on the purpose built British Rail Supporters Train with features such as a cinema and disco? A good idea, but not really a success.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

lindosfan,
Seeing as one of the clubs I mentioned plays at Hayes Lane I think I do! Didn't know the Angel though but Google answered me...I will leave it to others who know though to put it on here.

I guess you are too young to have visited Arsenal's original ground then

52 very impressive, I always thought I followed Spurts quite well, obviously I needed to have gotten out more!!

i've visited quite a few grounds as a neutral over the years due to working around the country & having friends & relatives all over too.

scunthorpe v blackpool on a wet & windy night in november sticks out as an oddish one  :D

Top man and beats me. I nearly played there in a charity game for a late, great friend, who was a Chelsea steward and a regular in my local. But I broke my ankle before the game. The match programme (produced by the club) is a sought after collectors item and I have one - it now sells for 35 quid! I was secretary/player of the pub footie team. I got mashed in the players bar afterwards, not wise when on crutches!

Just scroll down to the 1st programme.

Oh, and I saw Elton John at Home Park!

Forgot I went to Real Madrids pad but wasn't allowed in - I was a weekend early to see a friendly against Leeds. I was staying with a mate in one of the costas and a Spanish barman mentioned the game. So me and another mate headed up there - they wouldn't even let us inside, clearly thought we were mad! Motto is never trust Spanish barmen!

So went to watch the bullight instead which was probably far better entertainment? Do Bullrings count? Been to two - Madrid and Marbella.

Also saw Northern Spirit (North Sydney) v some Yugoslavs (Sydney Olympic?), Robbie Slater ex-West Ham was the Spirits captain.

Rugby? Used to be a regular at Rosslyn Park. Also been to Twickers, The Stoop, Penrith Panthers and Canberra Raiders!
