What a lump of shite!
Diplomacy is the ability to tell a man to go to hell so that he looks forward to making the trip

That's not fair. I understand Norwich played quite well!JimmyGreaves wrote:What a lump of shite!

Happy, happy Easter football. What do you think, spuds supporters? Hate to be saying this, but after the early season shit we got from you, I just can't help myself. Pardon me and my French.

A bit unfair to complain about a few weeks - we've been eating yours for 50 years! To be honest, while I don't mind a bit of friendly joshing, this is one aspect of football I really can't abide.Bamboo Grove wrote:Happy, happy Easter football. What do you think, spuds supporters? Awoke to see the result (having had no cable TV or internet at the apartment overnight)
dm - don't be too worried someone will kneecap rvp soon enough - and the Arse will return to average
As for our lot - seems we're almost feck'd as they say in scouseland.
I should also add that Chelski clearly sacked AVB far too soon - I've been taking lessons at the Ars'ole Whinger school of blameless excuses

Well, Fulham was always going to be a tough call for us and they were worthy of a draw, at least. And hopefully a few days off restore fitness levels to those struggling.
As an aside, the comment about 'Chelski' above, made me think of TTM's earlier comment about names for sides with foriegn ownership - seems a bit cheap to refer to just Chelsea now?

I have always said it aint over til it`s over. Still 6 games to go (well for us anyway) and anything can happen. Experience has told me premature gloating can bite you on the a*se.

When we lost at QPR the other week, it was probably less than ten seconds before the first of a flood of sms's started coming through

Then there was the feeling of dread about logging into HHAD & facing the likes of JG, Tel & your good self

Funny how the game affects us so much, the elation when things are going well & total depression when things go wrong.

I would say the fact that the elation can be felt & the depression lifted by the results of your rivals is quite unique to football fans.
Sometimes you just have to grit your teeth & get on with it.
Still think there are a few twist & turns to come before the end of the season concerning the final 2 CL places.
The saying is true, ' never count your canaries' . . .or was it chickens?

Re: Premier League 2011-2012
It's an inconvenient truth which has been swaying in my thoughts for the last six weeks but.... horrible as it is to say, Spurs WILL finish 6th this year!
The same thing happened last year... if you check the stats look at our last 4 months - they were diabolical after starting so well. I can't put my finger on why this happens. Is it fatigue or is it just that, by this time, every team has figured out what it takes (tactically) to beat us and 'Arry's got no plan B?
Gotta give credit to Arsenal... What a comeback! This is when you start to realise the massive gap concerning managerial expertise that Wenger has over Harry. Of course we love him. He brought us up from the bottom but it's been quite obvious over the last two seasons that he really can't 'bring' it come the business end of the season... once again - check the stats.
I am truly worried about the outcome of this season for three reasons....
1. Our stars aren't gonna put it up for another year unless we can compete, salary wise, with what other teams are prepared to offer. Levy aint prepared to budge.
2. Our stars want to and CAN be playing at the highest level and I believe they will move on after this....unless by some miracle we claim a Champions league place.
3. If and when Harry goes.... unless it's the special one... who is going to get the best out of the players we can afford. Exactly how much did Arsenal and Newcastle spend and look at them go....even swansea and norwich are giving us a run for our money so....
Unfortunately I believe the future is bleak at Spurs. We had our little 'moment' but unless we are bought out we will slip back into the shadows over the next 2 years. A harsh reality but a reality it is.
Been a great season nevertheless.... got more out of it than we usually get. Probably the last time imo.
... But the saving grace is... we could be Liverpool
Ya take what ya get

Re: Premier League 2011-2012

Our season couldn't have possibly gone any worse regarding key injuries, lengthy bans, ref decisions and hitting the woodwork so I'm not too concerned about next season, I'm expecting us to be back amongst the teams chasing top 4.
We don't deserve top 4 this year obviously but are better than our league position suggests.
Besides, I accepted Liverpools fate months ago, I can kick back and enjoy the fireworks.
