Yes, the wife got caught in the downpour in BK on her way to the gold shops, didn't put a stop to her buying half the shop though.

It would take a maelstrom of biblical proportions to do that.

I'm not worried about rain. I've got a couple of days and then I'll be wheels up for LOS. Here in Wash DC it's 24 degrees and won't get above freezeing until Tues of next week. Getting out of the Ice Box.

Where were you during your visit? Here in BKK it has rained a few times and is warmer and more humid than usual...weird weather. How's it been in HH and elsewhere?

Here in Rayong I've had to pump water out of my pool twice within the last 7 days. Now that's weird for January! More thunder storms forecast for this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon. Maybe we've skipped the hot season and are back to monsoon already. Pete

We were in Bangkok, Pattaya and Hua Hin.
But maybe we were just lucky, but no rain.

A huge thunderstorm and 30 minute downpour in Phrakhanong area of Bangkok yesterday afternoon.

This morning black and overcast. The daytime temperature has been climbing higher each day, so it looks like the end of the "cool" season. :?

I hope you guys get later in the day what I'm getting over here in Rayong. Light thundershowers, 25c, breeze from the NE. Absolutely delightful. A day without sweat! :D :D Pete

That's never happened to me in five and a half years in Thailand! :(
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Geeze Louise we just got dumped on over here for the past two hours with strong thunder and lightening. Just filled the pool, now have to dump water out. :cuss: If had to guess, I'd say we had 10CM +. Has done nothing to cool things down, still blood heat and humidity. It's headed east guys. Beware dark clouds approaching from the east! :D Pete
