Not sure why this thread isn't in the Motoring section - had to hunt everywhere for it!
A friend of mine has bought a new toy. Can you tell me what it is?

Yes, as simple as that! 1924.
I told him I thought it was way too small for a family car and offered to lend him something toward the purchase of a new Ford Focus...

Not a challenge, but a piece of history. Not really into muscle cars, but have to wonder just how many of todays plastic boxes will end up like this:

Sold at auction, and bear in mind that the auction house adds a 10% premium on top of the hammer price:

A far less spectacular car but a similar story recently in the UK:
For sale: Classic Mini built 25 years ago… with just 13 miles on clock

The girly one? [WHITE SMILING FACE]
Re: The Car Challenge
I don't know exactly what model it is but when I spent a bit of time in Somerset about five years ago, there was a lime green one of those in the area. I think they might have been a grey import from Japan.
Re: The Car Challenge
I just found one for sale by googling "Nissan noddy car":

Re: The Car Challenge
Okay, here's one that could prove difficult. If so, I'll come back and state the manufacturer name in addition to the country. Give me 1) Manufacturer name 2) Model (NOTE: This was taken from a newspaper so assumption is that it's accurate.)

Re: The Car Challenge
With regard to Pete's challenge, 4 has to be the VW Bettle and I think the other two German cars might be Mercedes models, perhaps the 180 or 220?
Re: The Car Challenge
Steve is correct. #4 is the Volkswagen Beetle retired after 65 years. Although, I think you can buy them new again in the USA, but perhaps it's in a kit form from some other source with a fiberglass body?
The other two German cars are not from Mercedes.
