Additionally local provincial authorities are also given the mandate to impose disease control measures in their own provinces as they deem necessary, and that’s the authority of each particular province.
I guess I'm not the only one confused by having 2 different sets of directives. I've just been looking and some gyms have announced they will be re-opening in the Hua Hin area :?
Can you post the name(s) on the gyms or is it against forum rules?

It isn't against Forum rules, but I wouldn't want to drop anybody in it if they are mistaken.

There seems to be a lot of confusion. Yesterday the touch rugby guys were told they couldn't train on the beach, but the local university football team openly posted photos of their beach training session.

Somebody really needs to clarify the situation.

I also noticed the only massage shop that I'd seen closed has now opened again. The ink on the Governor's letter seems to be worth less than the paper it's written on.

I didn't see any beer being 'openly' served at restaurants today, but I did pass them early this morning, before 10am.

16 of Petchburi's 23 reported cases today were in Cha-am.
Sorry, don't know how to post the screenshot.

I'm not sure what has gone wrong with the Centre's reporting tool, but some of the previous day's figures have changed. I've continued with this chart because the daily and grand totals still concur. Something similar happened a few days ago when hospitals in towns were merged.

That aside, today's numbers are looking quite hopeful.

Hua Hin Municipality have clarified the situation for every Farang by publishing a translation of PKK Governor's Order 3836/2554 with the following statement:
This is the English version of Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Order
Effective from April 13, 2021 until otherwise ordered

To be fair, I don't think the confusion lies with Farangs. The majority of 'us' quite understood the rules. The confusion came from seeing massage parlours open along with gyms etc. Most of these businesses are Thai owned. I'm not sure that publishing an English version, much as it is welcomed, will 'educate' the business owners that are flouting the orders.
The police need to enforce these rules. Unfortunately, that means them getting off their backsides and doing their job.

Back to Netflix!!

Why are Thai massage businesses exempt? That's skin to skin encounters.

Also, why are weddings with fewer than 50 people exempt? It only takes one person to infect others.

No I don't expect logic to prevail, I've been here long enough to have given up on that.

I've wondered about that too. I believe it was the same exemption on the previous lockdown. I'd love to hear the Thai 'logic' on that one.

I does state 'traditional' Thai massage, not the enjoyable kind!!
