How is his accent? If strong, local slang common, tech terms and fast speech in the heat of battle...... I doubt many will understand what he's saying. Pete

I haven't seen any SAF 7's yet, it seems Fox is not covering this leg.

I did see Racing 92 whoop Northampton 33-3. Carter 6 points and played 3/4's. He looks just about back in form after 6 weeks out of action, although he seemed winded when he came out. Pete

I see the US got past Wales and Portugal, but stumbled against Australia on day one. Full results at link. Day 2 in progress. Pete

Chris Robshaw will not continue as England captain under new head coach Eddie Jones, with Dylan Hartley a leading contender to replace him.

Harlequins flanker Robshaw was captain throughout Stuart Lancaster's reign and in 42 of his 43 England games.

Joe Launchbury of Wasps has been tipped as a future skipper, but it is thought Jones wants a more confrontational character to lead the side.

Hartley was dropped from the World Cup after being banned for a head-butt

^ As a Welshman, "Team Beelzibub" selecting Hartley as a member of the squad/team let alone Captain suites me down the the ground  . The guy is an out and out thug with an IQ in single digits - he spends the majority of his time in the "Bin" or taking his usual sabbatical from the rugby arena for his not too inconsistent misdemeanors.......

Going off on a tangent, the RFU supposedly making a fresh start..... yet, the same complete lack of organisation seems strangely familiar: -

Probably tempting fate with the above, God's Own are not without their own "Stars in Management"!!

Gutted for Cardiff...... Certainly not having a great time of it in the Pro 12, lying in 10th - and a win against Montpellier would have cemented their place in second in the table.

A few stand out games in the European Champions Cup coming up: -

Friday Evening kick-off UK: -
Northampton vs Racing92

Saturday: -
Bath vs London Wasps
Bordeaux Begles vs Ospreys
Leinster vs Toulon
Scarlets vs Glasgow Warriors

....... to name but a few!! :thumb:

Doesn't it seem odd that well organized and internationally competitive rugby seems to stop at the French and Italian borders? There is Germany and a whole host of eastern European countries including Russia with a big, strapping male population and you never hear about any of them as part of the rugby world. Pete
