Thinking De Bruyne will be making an appearance soon and change the game.
Ho hum. Took him 25 minutes to turn it around.

It is just before Scotland v England in the Euro’s Group game.
Kane goes into the English changing room to find all his team mates looking a bit glum.
"What's up?" he asks.

"Well, we're having trouble getting motivated for this game. We know it's important but it's only Scotland. They're rubbish and we can't be bothered".

Kane looks at them and says "Well, I reckon I can beat these by myself, you lads go down the pub."

So Kane goes out to play Scotland by himself and the rest of the English team go off for a few pints. After a few jars they wonder how the game is going, so they get the landlord to put the teletext on. A big cheer goes up as the screen reads "England 1 - Scotland 0 (Kane 10minutes)". He is beating Scotland all by himself!

Anyway, a few more pints later and the game is forgotten until someone remembers "It must be full time now, let's see how he got on". They put the teletext on.
"Result from the Stadium "England 1 (Kane 10 minutes) - Scotland 1"(Angus Mcnasty 89 minutes)".

They can't believe it, he has single handedly got a draw against Scotland!! They rush back to the Stadium to congratulate him. They find him in the dressing room, still in his gear, sat with his head in his hands. He refuses to look at them.

"I've let you down, I've let you down."

"Don't be daft, you got a draw against Scotland , all by yourself. And they only scored at the very very end"

"No, No, I have, I've let you down...

I got sent off after 12 minutes"

Hmmm, I have heard a version of this some years ago. It was Bergkamp vs Spuds. :D :D Sorry to spoil your joke, DM. But I'm sure, like with covid, there's plenty of variants around.

"KHON KAEN: Move over Paul the Octopus, Thailand has a new claimant to the football forecasting crown: Boy the “psychic” lion, who has so far correctly called four Euro 2020 matches.

The five-year-old white lion, who lives at the Khon Kaen Zoo, makes his predictions by grabbing meat marked with national flags from a wire above his pen.".....

FFS, what does Grealish have to do to get on the pitch????????

England managers seem to have a real problem with creative players - Hoddle, Gascoigne, Le Tissier, Mcmanaman... and now Grealish - all underused! :cuss: :banghead:

Bring him on at half-time to do a deBruyne.

Crying out for him this game! If things haven't changed and he's not on before the 60th minute, Southgate's a total cockwomble.

I feel sorry for you guys watching in the UK. You don't even have the half time Aerosoft adverts to look forward to. Much better than the football I've witnessed so far.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Aerosoft make a football boot? They should. Company owned by the guy who purchased the Thai TV rights. Good product and that's all I wear here, think they have boat size too BB. :D

By far the shittest game of football I've watched in a while. So much for our exciting new team.

God almighty, I've seen some feeble performances in my time, but that one really takes the biscuit.
Well played Scotland... <gritted teeth>

EDIT: Of course, it could be part of a very clever strategy to finish 2nd in the group and thus avoid playing France, Portugal or Germany in the firsat knock-out round!

I rarely comment on football matches, tonight I decided to watch England what a useless bunch of players, a captain so bad he is substituted. Bigboy is spot on about Kane. Not one inspiring player in the England team. Scotland were unlucky, they could have won. :banghead:
Woke up this morning breathing that's a good start to the day.

Look at this manager, Southgate. Who is he and why is he even there, connections?

It truly appears that he doesn't know what he's doing.

The biggest mystery for me is not that Kane stayed on for as long as he did, it's not that Southgate couldn't see that one of Rice or Phillips had to be replaced, nor that for 90 minutes James had no-one in front of him to pass to. Nope, none of that. The biggest mystery to me is how Sterling not only re-appeared for the 2nd half, but completed the full 90 minutes, when he was utterly useless throughout.

Foden can play Sterling's role better than Sterling. As it stands, anyone can do Kanes role better than Kane, I think the other Harry has to come in for Mings. Rice or Phillips? Just one is needed. As Souness said, 'two peas from the same pod'. Grealish was as ineffective as everyone else when he came on. Rashford had too little time, tragically, Gilmour isn't English (but is Chelsea 😀) and Southgates limitations are coming to the fore again.

All the ridiculous hype after the first game has been exposed fot what it is and well done to Scotland and David Moyes, who got the game spot on in his review, including the statement that, 'England weren't that good in the first game', a sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with.

We have a huge amount of flair and ability in this England team, it needs to be set free. It would be a start if Kane and Sterling sat out the next game.
