Currently this one is a direct hit on Hua Hin...if it makes it that far.

^ Yes, the extended forecast for HH for the last few days on several weather sites are heavy rain and strong winds Thursday through Monday.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Unfortunately it looks like it will hit both of us at night, in the dark which I hate as can't really see what's going on with trees, pool etc. I guess the operative words will be hunker down and wait for dawn to assess any damage. Pete

EDIT: You may get a good show with it approaching from the east at dusk.

We didn't get the very strong winds they predicted, but certainly a lot of rain has dropped overnight and still falling. The latest forecast suggests rain all day, so some localised flooding is possible.

No strong winds - you must be joking, they have not stopped for hours and continue !!!!

I think tht since I wrote my note, the winds have picked up quite a bit, but what I was referring to was the predicted 35mph winds that they forecast last night and they weren't that strong, but have to admit that they are getting close now

Wind and rain still strong at the Condo Chain and visibility pretty grim. Tin shack roof on the property next to BK hospital is gradually relocating SE. A few abandoned motorcycles around on Petcha too

Ever had one of those moments when you wished you'd kept your mouth shut - we have water coming in from 3 windows and the back door all facing the prevailing wind. The swimming pool would have overflowed had I not set it to waste and pumped it out. All around is looking more and more like a big lake, fortunately our garden was raised one metre higher than the prevailing land otherwise we might be up to our necks in it!!

Next one to look out for depending upon the track it takes. It's currently flattening the Philippines.

Concerning today's storm......I'm right on the edge now here in Rayong. As of 1300 it should be over within an hour per: http://www2.tmd.go.th/radar/rygLoop.php

Looking at Hua Hin though, you may get it well into the evening. Batten down the hatches and get your boats out. :D Pete

Seems to have blown over now. Winds have dropped and no rain.
Just got the electricity back after being off all morning. The electricity board said they had trouble all over HH with trees down etc.
