crawfords now o'neills
crawfords now o'neills
My wife and I used to go to Crawfords ( Hua Hin ) and enjoyed the Brit pub food..since it has become O'Neils ..we have been 3 times and every time we have walked out saying we will never go back ...I know..3 times is a bit much to make up your mind but we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.... I used to enjoy the fish and chips and peas but it is nothing like the fish and chips that the "old crawfords " used to do....am I the only one who thinks like this or are there others out there who feel the same ?..

cant speak for the evening food but the brekkies took a dive in quality .... I used to like a triple B every so often but have given up on them....just not as good any more. Maybe they are having chef issues.

Not been very much since Ken left
He did have a chef problem at one time but I guess we all know about the chef concerned
Ken solved it because he always had a finger on the button. Maybe Paul has other problems

Dear Sandman67, I am sorry to hear of your disatisfaction with the breakfast. We have had one or two problems with a supplier. Please make yourself known to me and I will arrange a refund of the food bill. Paul Nearssandman67 wrote:cant speak for the evening food but the brekkies took a dive in quality .... Hi Paul
thats a kind offer mate and thanks for the explanation. I take it the issues are sorted so I'll swing in for a brekky when the craving hits me again.
As its been a while I think it'd be cheeky of me to expect any sort of refund.... but its real nice to see someone stand by their product for a change. Glad the issues got sorted.
Hope to see you soon

Always had a good brekky there. I'm not a big plateful guy so it's nice go for the basic and depending on your desire go for the add ons. Not tried the other meals though

We always appreciate customers informing us at the time of any disatisfaction with food or beverage. This can then be addressed there and then. If you would care to make yourself known to me then I will arrange for the refund of your food bill. Paul Nears
Thanks for the offer of the money back but like Sand man I don't want it back....I have several friends who own restaaurants and they are successful cause they listen to their customers..to be honest with you we won't come back till we hear that the standard has come back...that Brits say it is the place to go to have good pub grub........if it ain't broke ( and it wasn't before ) then why change it ?

I'd just comment that recipes change along with chefs - unless the house dictates them and requires that they be followed to the letter (in which case why bother with a chef...). I have eaten there a few times. The fish pie, I probably wouldn't repeat; the steak was outstanding - way better than I generally get in the UK or Germany. Other things lie somewhere in between. I have never been to a restaurant in my life where every menu item is to my taste; but if some are, then I will likely go back.
Had enough of the trolls. Going to sleep. I may be some time....
Crawfords....O'Neils.......
I met Paul on my last trip.....( he HAD to introduce himself as I was taking pics of my pudding to send to my wife!!) If the pudding is the same...I'll see you soon!
Cheers!

Re: crawfords
As far as i know, no; the two were never owned by the same people but I believe just decided to have an agreement about the name to allow some joint advertising initially. Ken, who posts on here sometimes, will be able to give the complete story if he is inclined I think.darwinian wrote:Has Crawfords in Cha Am changed?

Forget the brekie that you thought wasn't as good. What about the welcome, what about the Hygene, what about a good man doing a good job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
