I voted for 3. I think it's beautiful, artistic and unusual. I wouldn't consider myself finicky - I just know what I like. Looks like a few others are of the same opinion as me, this time.

I've been out of the country since September and am having severe withdrawal problems. Nicotine may be the most addictive substance known to man, but I miss it a hell of a lot less than I miss Thailand. So I voted for something more immediately Thai, and #8 pressed my buttons, especially the line of chilled water bottles in front of the monks.

no offence to the photographer of picture 3, but that was my reaction too
though i do think its a clever picture, i didnt expect it to steamroller the opposition

The very central figure on the bottom line seems to be having a bit of a laugh whilst really communicating with the camera - I'm just off to see the shrink!
I'm sorry to say but too much competitions in short time is not good. I think that once in two or three months is enough and if there is any rewards in the competition you should tell it in the beginning of the competition. Most of people (like me) think that glory is not enough.
I'm sorry to say this but I think that basicly we all are materialists.
