Looking to rent 2 bedroom condo or house long term

Post by lee808 »

Hi Guys

I will be arriving in Hua Hin 1st December for a 5 month stay, will want to rent a 2 bedroom condo or house with a pool etc, mid budget, upto 3 kilometres out of town.
Bit unsure about commiting to anything before i arrive and get to check the place over....
Does anybody know of the current property market availability this year, am i likely to find much if i intend to spend a week or so looking upon arrival or would one advice to try and sort something before i arrive.
Comments much appreciated.
Thanks
Lee

There is more at the top end than the bottom. It has become a buyers market. Only yesterday I saw a three bedroom house reduced from 15,000 BHT to 10,000 BHT per month.

What do you mean exactly when you refer to mid budget? I believe you will get more for your money with the Condo against a house with a pool.

Pools seem to add a disproportionate increase to the rent.

The one house I do know of that fits your requirements was up for 22,500 BHT per month but taken off the market now. It was just not worth the effort to do it for less.

I saw what I would call a mid range condo with partial see view and two beds and three bathrooms go for 15,000 BHT on a short 6 month let last week.

Seems to be plenty condos and apartments around and advertising. Also I think there are quite a few houses around for short term rent.
May take a few weeks to find what you want and get sorted so a good place may be online estate agents to get a feel of prices.
Problem is I guess that for 5 months you could easily spend a month getting sorted out

Thanks Guess,

By mid budget i mean maximum 20,000 per month, have been looking at online agents but not too sure about reliability !

Any recommendations would be great ?

Thanks

Hi There,

If you look at the rentals section you should find Room By Room and they will have a selection of properties if not just tell them what you want.

Its not hard to find a good 3 bed 3 bath near town for about 15,000 - 20,000 with a communal pool if that's acceptable. but for your own pool, I have seen them advertised for anything up to 30,000 - 50,000 a month which is ridiculous if you ask me...

While having your own pool is nice you will find a large increase in the electric bill from having a pool. And someone has to pay for the cleaning of the pool. Those things you don't have to worry about with a condo.

Hi Guess,

Strange format for a condo - more bathrooms than bedrooms, but a crazy low price, where did you find this one?
